Height issue

I can't even leave the first cabin. The height of my character is way up at the ceiling. When I try to reach down to grab the firewood to progress the story, it won't reach (even with the stretchy-hand mechanic). Resetting my position or placing the play setting at sitting or standing didn't help.

To be helpful to the developers, perhaps answer these questions:

1. What headset are you using?
   
2. Is the actual Chaperone play area above the game floor?
   
3. Are other games completely unaffected?
