Technical problems launching via Steam

So I had 2 kinds of issues pop up 1: I start Illyriad via steam, a process instance starts, however I get no Illyriad window 2: It launches, but after the intro I get a black screen

Illyriad is not P2W

So then, despite what you are reading, Illyriad is not pay to win. Yes, it has micro transactions but the edge they provide is slight as there are several limiting factors which they cannot speed up e.g research times and army travel times. Prestige (the thing you can buy with microtransactions) can be bought in game for in game gold. You even get a free point of Prestige every single day, if you collect it. Game gone?

So Illyriad updated this morning and now the game's executable file is missing. I checked the integrity of the local files and also did an uninstall/reinstall to no avail. Anyone else having issues?
