PC vs Android differences
Being a fan of the procedural generation mechanic, I've been playing the Android version on my phone for years and have had tons of fun with it, but the PC version really looks different in a couple of aspects, like more characters, classes...so, what are the differences between both platforms in terms of mechanics, features, items, etc?

We've been adding a lot of content over the time it took to port the game. This includes some things like item and upgrade replacements for characters, such as all the changes Rogue got. Also basic mechanics changes like the camera differences. Here's a big (and incomplete) list:

I'd also like to know, from those with hands on experience, how differently it plays. My guess is that a different control method, resolution and framerate must alter the game somehow, but how exactly?

Not sure if it's in the big notes, but the PC version also is tweaked to run about 10% faster. We also did some major tweaks like allowing for 8-way dashing instead of just 4.

Just curious, I've heard that the 4-way aiming and attacking is a bit stiff and annoying for some. Is there any chance that since there were tweaks to add 8-way dashing that 8-way attacking could be doable? If so that would help it seems since it seems like an issue for some people saying the combat feels stiff. I'm just on the fence about buying into the game, but adding the ability to attack in 8 directions would definitely help for sure. I'm just curious but this isn't a total deal-breaker. Frankly if you guys do stick with the 4-way attacks, then it's just more like Isaac (cardinal directional attacks) than Gungeon (any directional) which is fine by me since I love Isaac.

This game's combat is heavily inspired from the bests rpg games on snes,if you play in a emulator the secret of mana or secret of evermore, terranigma, secret of mana 3,illusion of gaia etc etc...they are 4-way combat focused with 8-way movement.

Good to know, I didn't know if that was on purpose or just how it happened. Makes sense to emulate what the classics did with more features and modern touches. Sounds neat. Is it worth it if I like Spelunky, Gungeon and Isaac? I play a LOT of rogue-likes but never know if a new one is worth the time/money to jump in or not.

For the price, you're getting enough value with complete playthrough and story for the 6 main characters. The Paladin is still WIP, though.

Combat is deceptively slow, but gets hectic with a room full of enemies. Most of the time you can't go gung-ho and hack at enemies because they're designed to work in synergized teams to attack you. There are no unlockable skills, but your weapons and gears get modified when you encounter Ember Forges in every run.

Satisfaction for me is clearing a room chock full of enemies and not getting even a single hit. On the flip side, successive mistakes will still end your run.

Yeah, it's on purpose. 4 way attacks/abilities, 8 way movement. Just like back on the SNES.

In beta we finally relented on making dashes 8 way, because for a long time considered them an attack/ability instead of movement. Because of this, even the item that lets your dashes do damage still is an 8 way dash. The Spellsword charge attack or Rogue kick is still 4 way, as they're more attack than movement.

Here be the mandatory touchscreen question! Does the current version of the game support it?
Rocketcat Games  [developer] Feb 9, 2019 @ 2:46pm
Smile: Nope, doesn't support it. I believe we could do this if there's enough demand for it.

I have also been a fan of your games for a long time. I was wondering if there could be Mac support in future updates?

I noticed there are no more credits anymore in PC version, can you at least bring it back? I kinda miss it

I read in a review that on the ios version you could charge up a sword attack and then change direction to a new direction; assuming this is true, can you do the same on the PC version?

And if NOT, do you plan on updating it to work like it did on ios version?
