Other games like Rakuen?

Would like some recommendations for other games like rakuen or at least similar to the games vibes/play-style

Hi Rifa and Sally! I actually just announced a new game in the Rakuen universe called Mr. Saitou! It will be coming out March 23rd and you can find the Steam page here:

As for other games with a similar vibe... I highly recommend Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. While the gameplay is different (it has these Rogue-style dungeons), it is heavily story-based and they focus a lot on the friendships and interactions between the different characters. It's really sweet and has a cute art style.

Thank you so much! I've already wishlisted the Rakuen sequel and I'm sooo excited for it! Rakuen is literally one of my favorite games :D

Certainly all of Kan Gao's games (To The moon, Finding Paradise, Impostor Factory). It is how I learned about Laura Shigihara and this game. Very excited for Mr. Saitou!

I'll add the recently released "A Space for the Unbound" to the list. Similar feels to the To the Moon and Rakuen series, accompanied by an excellent soundtrack as well.

Aside from Freebird Games' games, there's Ara Fell. It's another RPG Maker-made game with some similar styles, although it is has more typical RPG elements.

Deviating more from game-play and graphics, there's Spirit of the North. It's mainly a 3D exploring-puzzle platformer which is pretty relaxing, yet also a little sombre with a touch of foreboding elements. It's a bonus if you like foxes.

Omori is a captivating and bittersweet rpg. If you love a painful story that will stick with you months after, and that has cute graphics, an amazing sound track, and loveable characters, definitely try Omori!
