TRAINING.
One of my characters has a new training option, but if I choose one of the options, they lose their current abilities.

For example, I can currently fit silencers to a .45 pistol, but if I train, I lose that ability. How can I forget how to fit a supressor.

Is this a bug, or am I reading it wrong. The training icon is a yellow sargent stipes flashing in the second training box.

Think of it more like a futuristic skill implant and training are software packages for it. As your agent gains levels, it will gain more training slots.

If you want to overwrite a training package, you can pick which one to replace.

Each training takes a slot. If you have no free slot then new training will replace the previous, so check you've selected an free, empty slot. New slots are unlocked with better agent levels.

For suppressors, and mods in general, you can only use those on weapons your agent is proficient with (has profiency).

Where more trainings give more profiencies, updated trainings match newer (better) gear.

Thanks, I think I figured it out. For some reason, it kept defaulting to the 1st skill. When I eventually reaslised and was more careful, I managed to change the second skill and keep the first

Coolness, glad you have it under control now. :)

I don't think the game is clear. It should not offer SWAP. All that does is lose your current training and you'll have to waste time for your agent to retrain. That would only be useful if you want that agent to change their current skill, but why would you want to? Wait till you have a new training slot, and choose that slot and your option will have a TRAIN button.

Training slots open slowly and enemies get stronger. So when better weapons upgrade later old weapons start becoming more and more useless.

My highest level character was lvl 14 on my first play through and that only unlocked 5 slots mind you I didn't just use the same agents all the time but I also took my time between advancing the story.

Basically if you couldn't replace you would just keep getting rid of old agents and hiring new and that would lessen your attachment to your agents.

For example when enemy agents start getting over 130 hp you will be hard pressed to kill them with the B76 or the .45 you will need the TT or .44 at close range or with sure shot. so upgrading over the lower skill helps.

Its even worse for the skills that have no abilities attached they just become a complete waste of space for example training like basic fire arms drill would just be a dead training slot.

WAHT?!?!?!
Swap is great! Eventually you get better silencers and those puny pistols can be LMG or better. I love Swap skills. Also, the Cobra is much better than the B76 pistol for the silencer. I Swap skills often. Also, the LMG is replaced by an even better machine gun so again I Swap skills.

Agents do not get many skills. Upgrading or changing them with Swap is Awesome. I am Very Happy the Devs put Swap skills in the game.

I think it's great that it's an option available to us. I agree that it is confusing at first though. It could benefit from a little UI clarity or a tutorial note.
