I don’t see any efficiency With the starting guns
The one I am using is a silenced B76 which is a fairly common starter pistol.
They shouldn't, but that's video games for you.
Simplified explanation: revolvers have a tiny gap between the barrel and the rotating cylinder holding the ammo. This gap lets the sound of a shot "escape".
Pistols are built with internal magazines and are a "closed" system.
The silencer itself has to fit to the weapon, o.c., think of the different calibers. Again, ihave no experience yet how this is handled ingame but i´m curiuos to find out.
You are right - Pistol Suppressor works only for Pistol and Revolver weapon type. However, I am able to create Rimfire Suppressor, which works for LMG, SMG, Rifle and Sniper Rifle. So here is that.
Revolvers can have silencers though
What I do know is that I had an agent of mine was proficient with French Dao. I think she had DGSE background (French).
Wound be my first hearing about that. Can you give me an example like a wiki/Google or shop link?
The only thing i can think of to reduce the noise of a revolver is to wrap it up in a blanket or use a cushion. But i doubt it would make a big difference and what would be the point of using a revolver like that.
Tried to look up the Rimfire Suppressor but as English is mot my mother language i couldn´t figure out the difference between a "normal" suppressor and the rimfire S. Can you pls give me a hint on that, holy-death?
Nagant revolver is one of the few unique ones that can use silencers
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagant_M1895
"The Nagant M1895 was chambered for a proprietary cartridge, 7.62×38mmR, and featured an unusual "gas-seal" system, in which the cylinder moved forward when the gun was ♥♥♥♥♥♥, to close the gap between the cylinder and the barrel, providing a boost to the muzzle velocity of the fired projectile and allowing the weapon to be suppressed (an unusual ability for a revolver).[3]"
"It was widely employed by the Bolshevik secret police, the Cheka, as well as its Soviet successor agencies, the OGPU and NKVD. Seven Nagant revolvers were used by communist revolutionaries to execute the Russian imperial family and their servants in July 1918.[9] In the police role, it was frequently seen with a cut-down barrel to aid in concealment by plainclothes agents. Despite the advent of the more modern Soviet TT pistol, the M1895 remained in production and use throughout World War II. The Nagant's sealed firing system meant that the Nagant revolver, unlike most other revolvers, could make effective use of a sound suppressor, and suppressors were sometimes fitted to it.[10]
Suppressed M1895 Nagant revolvers, modified in clandestine workshops, also turned up in the hands of Viet Cong guerrillas during the Vietnam War as assassination weapons. There is an example of a suppressed Nagant M1895 in the CIA Museum in Langley, Virginia, USA. "
