What does analytics facility do?
Hi! Can someone explain to me please for what the "analytics facility" is? I can move my headquarter to another location okay. But I can also put an agent in there for investigating. What does it do? Do I get more informations? I collect my informations through other sources, informants, missions, etc... and i can connect them on investigation board by myself. So what is the meaning of assigning an agent there? The official manual only says the agents are uncovering aliases whatever that means? When i put an agent there it shows me 10 hr, but its endless, at some point it starts again with some time. What happens if the progress is a 100%? Thanks

Hey there! The reason for the intel being moved around the board is that you're having your agents solving the case in Analytics. ;)

Devs answered in another discussion. You don't have to use the department if you don't want to.

Exactly. Analytics is for those players who don't wish to work the Investigation Board on their own. That, of course, comes at the expense of having the agents sitting there, instead of being useful elsewhere.

Also, when in doubt, feel invited to refer to the manual we prepared for you. It doesn't cover everything, but Analytics was explained there. :)

Same thing here. My guess is that it just connects the evidence instead of you manually doing it. It does not seems to uncover new evidence. Seems kinda redundant tho to have up to 4 agents working on that cuz ur lazy to do so urself.

Bingo. To be fair though not everyone enjoys the analytics stuff so it's good that the option is their I guess.

I'm pretty sure it's more than auto connecting. I got new intel and uncovered black lines when I had someone analyzing.

That can not be the reason auto connecting..... this would be a joke. There must be something else.... Do I get more mission objectives or what? Can not find anything about it. Someone enlighten me please XD.

If you don't find all the clues you will miss some mission opportunities. Only way to find all the clues is by analysis. Sometimes when you highlight the clues on a paper you can't find all of them. Only analyzing will reveal the rest of it.

i am not sure but there is a chance that maybe putting someone on analytics increasing the chance of finding informants on different zones that can give you intel? not sure

8 hours in and 4 closed cases. I found everything by doing it manually.
That said im interested in this as well.
Probably good if you replay the game often and dont want to do it yourself?

If that's true then I think maybe it helps you uncover hidden clues faster?

So I do not think it has something to do with more incoming intel (information), because in order to put an agent in analytics you already have to gained some information before. You can only put an agent in analytics if you have some information (or only cases?) already.

I believe maybe what it does, is removing the black bars in the intel documents? So you can find, like the official manual says more "aliases". But as above mentioned I also had my first 3 cases done without this. Maybe later in campaign I will find out more. What I know now is that when the agent complete his progress, he automatically starts a new one which again last for 10 hr.

What I noticed is that, when you put someone to analyse, the clues get rearranged on the "corkboard'. Like, say, I had them pinned at certain places on the screen and it just moves them around to a preprogrammed location I suppose. Does not seem to add anything tho, pretty sure it just does connecting for you.

I have this too, but i think thats a bug, not because of the agent.

It was like the investigation department.
The whole theme of the game is that we're hunting down a worldwide conspiracy. It's a detective work. At one point, we must try to link all the intel together to see how they're all connected.
The analystic facility had a role to play in this.
All intel gathered from either informants or in the fields will need to be decrypt. Once decrypt, linking each evidence together to solve the case.
If you managed to solve it, there will be rewards, such as a new agent for hire, or exposing enemy agent's identity.

Okay thank you. I am understanding this part. But what does the agent do in analytics facility? I am "decrypting" the gathered intel by myself.

Seeing as there is an achievement for "Complete all secret files manually in a single playthrough", I guess the analytics agent just fishes out the keywords from the files and connects the dots if you don't want to bother with that minigame.

An 'alias' is the highlighted words that you find - best I can figure they find hidden or redacted ones. But with no in game feedback to what they accomplish it's a little hard to say. Hopefully we will get some clarification from the devs or at least some in game info.
