Did anybody else's purified gold end up looking like a uh well um
It is a logical arrangement I swear

Holy cow, genius solution !
I probably over-engineered my solution for this one...

These are tiny compared to 'mine'. But after a small change I did get mine to do it in 112 cycles (albeit with a huge contraption) :p

I went with a simple design. https://imgur.com/a/tmtC8

Only got round to doing this one the other day, I'd say my first go at it was kinda similar to yours, just a bit more spread out and using extra arms to save a few cycles https://i.imgur.com/dMGKLYl.gif

Zyzzyzus, loving the optimisation work there :)

I couldn't be arsed to write such a long cycle of commands for this many manipulators. Calculating all the timing is too much work for me, so I did this. The only downside is that it doesn't look that good on a gif.

Florent P, well, damn, this one will be hard to top in terms of brilliant complexity.

Yes. Behold! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1191970518

EDIT... These were my real first solutions though. Nice and simple, albeit slow.

I was bored so made a low cost solution. :p
It didn't take long to make since I just kept copying long blocks by copying the arm first and then moving them along until I could move it back.

I thought I had a low cost solution, but yours is better hehe

I like that design a lot. That's one thing the automated leaderboards can't do -- measure aesthetics.

As I said, that's the problem with my solution. Unlike literally everything I saw above, which makes at least one atom of gold per cycle cuz the cycle is long, my cycle is short because I couldn't be arsed to properly program the manipulators for an entire cycle of making an atom of gold. So instead I made a short cycle that will make gold after repeating itself a decent amount of times. And since the GIF records only one cycle, naturally it looks weird, since not much is happening during the said cycle.

Yes, from when I've seen the gif recorder work, I think it runs the first product, then records from the moment the first is produced til the second is produced, so a solution that produces two products almost simultaneously will have this problem.
