Difficulty compared to other Zachtronics games?
I loved Spacechem got relatively far into it. I managed to finish Infinifactory and it was my favourite because it had almost no spatial constraints and you could make your solution as big and dumb as you pleased. I really enjoyed TIS-100 as well and managed to solve almost all of the puzzles on the first page. Shenzhen I/O however, was just too much. I only played 7 hours, decided I was not gonna get anywhere and pretty much rage-quitted the game.

So how is this game compared to the others? If I could get at least like 3/4 of the way into it, I would be more than happy to pay full price. Optimization of the solutions is not something I am interested in, just managing to solve the puzzle has always been satisfying enough for me, which is why I liked Infinifactory so much.

I should start by mentioning that I really enjoy all of the games from Zachtronics, but I frequently hit walls as well. Opus Magnum is great fun, and seems, on the whole, much less frustrating. You have an unlimited budget, and unlimited space, so, I think, with enough tinkering, anyone can finish a level if they just keep at it. While it seems less difficult and frustraing, the best part (for me) is definitely going back and re-tooling solutions. I used to find this very tedious in TIS-100, Shenzhen I/O, SpaceChem, and Infinifactory, but in this large sandbox it seems fun, and if there's a problem with your solution, the constraints of the game (or lack of, rather) seem to make it easier to troubleshoot.

This is more of easy to finish, hard to master. If you don't feel like optimizations then this will be a cakewalk. You have infinite area to work with, infinite parts to put down, infinite instruction space, ect. All the hard parts are when you try and make your solutions faster, smaller, or cheaper.

This is the easiest Zachtronics game. No restrictions on space, number of parts, or instruction count. Still quite fun! I think you should get it.

Thanks for your responses, easy to finish, hard to master is exactly what I was hoping for.
It's too easy IMO
