linux fullscreen broken

starts fullscreen, but the actual graphics only take up a portion of the screen. playing with the settings only made it look differently bad. config.xml is showing wrong resolution and changing it manually did not help either. I'm running two monitors, but it didn't break how most games do - poorly trying to display across both.
