This makes reference to the "original broadcast". Now I didn't note down either the radio frequency or the number codes from the "original broadcast" and so am I to believe that I have to start this entire thing all over again? If so that's really, really bad design and I frankly resent having my time wasted doing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "tasks" and then being punished for not noting down every single tedious detail like I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rain Man or something.

It seems I can't tune into it anyway as I just spent the last 30+ minutes scanning around the radio and couldn't find it. The green bars on the radio scanner are useless.

It said THE ORIGINAL BROADCAST. Unless they've changed the definition of the word original, then it means the FIRST broadcast i.e. the one that came in 2 broadcasts ago.

Considering my memory of the first broadcast, all the numbers were between 0 and 20 (inclusive, so 21 in total) which means there are 21 * 21 = 441 different combinations. You really think trying to guess 441 different combinations will take "no time"?

But blaming the developers for your own mistakes is much more fun of course.

How is it a mistake that I don't note down every single little detail of things I've already solved, when there is not even a clue that I'll need that information in the future? Reading your other posts about this game I think you're suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

It's the one after the morse code one, which I'm fairly sure is Kansas. On the relevant page it makes mention of the number in the original broadcast.

Okay, I think I've annoyed you enough. I hope you'll finish and enjoy the game, but somehow I doubt it.

I enjoyed the first and second ones, despite the annoying aspects. I'll probably finish the game.

PS: Stockholm syndrome...?? LOL! It may come as a surprise to you that the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and most players love the game.

It's not a black and white thing. I'm not saying the game is terrible, but telling me essentially that I'm wrong for criticising the game because "blaming the developers" is "more fun" is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If you're capable of making rational judgements about aspects of the game that you like then please allow me to make rational criticisms of the game without making me sound like some kind of deluded idiot.

If the developers are reading this, I think it'd be a good idea to change all occurences of "original broadcast" in that document to just "broadcast". But then it seems it's just me who finds this wording confusing as well as incorrect.

well, vb, you are being unfair. If you're not willing to bruteforce every numeric code in the game to at least 5 digits, what did you expect? And your ridiculour need for clear, concise instructions that are also accurate makes me physically sick. Maybe if you worked on YOURSELF a littls, you'd still be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rainman instead of posting these weepy threads about your breakup here.

@vb I totally agree. I was stuck on the FM for a while. "Original broadcast" had me there.

The manual assumes each broadcast is the original broadcast... not sure why you struggled with that of all things... :\

2 years later and I've had the exact same experience, I have no idea why it's labelled "original broadcast" but it was very frustrating.
