Help Thread (Spoilers!)

The game can be hard, and in a world of heaviliy tutorialised games, SU might come across as impenetrable to some :) But thats ok! The clues are always there, and the answers can always be found.

Some Tips:

Think outside the box:
Sometimes literally. The clues to progress might not always be directly in front of you. Sometimes they are, and you won't realise it either. Explore, in every sense of the word.

Prod and poke things:
SU is very much a game about discovery and mystery. The systems aren't laid bare, and need you to explore to find out how it all hangs together. Click on things, try different commands, look around.

Look around:
If in doubt, "look around" and pay close attention to the things mentioned. Looking at, using, opening those items mentioned should be first port of call. You can do this in-game-in-game, and just in-game too ;)

Weird Stuff:
SU is weird af. It's an experimental game, but never a brick wall. You can always proceed and the answers usually make complete sense, just that you might not have noticed something, or the clue is intentionally well hidden.

Last stop:
Post here! As I said on the blog post, enjoying and experiencing this game is far more important than 'doing it all yourself' for some sort of 'honest victory'. There is no shame in seeking help, but also don't ruin it for yourself by simply typing in the exact commands in the exact order, much less fun will be had that way!

We'll be here as much as possible during Launch Week to help people out with spoiler free hints. We're not going to hand out a list walk through, because that'd ruin the fun, but we'll give you as much help as we can!

I'm completely stumped on the glyph puzzle in level 2. Am I supposed to translate it somehow? I also can't see anything in the room that would help. Entering the code on the left side of the monitor would be the obvious solution, but that doesn't do anything. I even restarted the chapter to make sure I didn't miss anything
Nevermind, solved it through trial and error.

I assume last puzzle of third story. I went through the flowchart and I think I got the correct codeword, but the system won't let me continue. Did I get something wrong?

If you're in the car, you kinda need to leave the car first. Aside from that, try "go to front"

I cant set the amplifier in case 2....I am sure I set it on one and everything else is correct

On Chapter 3, what do you do once the generator is on? Do you go back to the place where you started? Because I am stuck below the stairs on the way back and my character refuses to walk up them.

This one is a bit tricky. Try interacting with the door.

alright got it, you need the monitor on, thats not in the manual so I assumed I need it off.

You have to start another generator in the same area, and then go to the post with the box, open the box and turn on the 3 switches so they have green lights.
You will know when you get it right because.... well, you will know :)
Then you make your way back to your base.

I'm at the part in the 3rd story where the code is phonetic. I've tried "mzshbe" capitalized and uncapitalized but it doesn't work. What am I missing?

Yes, figured this out. Heard the code wrong. Still had the right codeword.

Anyone have any ideas where my keys are in Case 4?

You will always type in numbers. Check the appendix.
