Devices and KBM Problems
I submitted a support ticket to the devs about the flickering input problems that many of you have pointed out. basically when you have a USB device connected (even a supported one in some cases) you can have problems with navigating the menus and mapping inputs to keys/buttons.
ie. flickering inputs on menus.

The typical tech support answer "you are not using a supported device" I'm insisting that it's a polling problem with the code and it can't differentiate between multiple inputs.

I have the same issue when my G29 wheel is connected (which is supposed to be a supported device).
Flickering input and no option to select the g29 wheel in the controller options.
Best thing is that anyone who has this problem should just post here and see if the devs take any notice on this issue.

Had the same problem with my USB gamepad. Solved it by using a xbox- controller emulator
I've briefly tried the emulator but have not got anywhere yet.

Yep, same issue here...using an Xbox360 controller, wireless. Flickered in the demo AND full game. I believe this is an issue with developers not being very experienced with the game engine that they're using. I've seen same issues in a few other low budgets in recent years and that always ends up being the case... only difference is that this developer would never honestly admit they made a mistake :-(

I also don't feel any controller rumble/bump feedback....even though I seem to be the only one reporting this. I only feel it very slightly in like 1 spot on the track...its VERY poor. My other race games all work great with the feedback so its got to be the game itself.

Perhaps whatever is causing the flickering in menus is also casuing an issue with the lack of physical feedback.

You have to put the emulatorfiles in ........\Gravel\gravel\Binaries\Win64, where the gravel-Win64-Shipping.exe is
Did not realise that. Thanks. Come to think of it I'm not sure what I am doing withe app anyway.
If I want for example a simple 4 button joystick to be this. Y Axis - Throttle and Forward. X Axis - Left and Right Turn. Button A - Handbrake. Button B - Rewind. How do I set this up. I can see the joystick in the menu of the app and can access the options.

Massive input problems (flickering mouse not responding to clicks) not working menu
since yesterday i have weird problems with the game. . mouse is flickering and does not respond (worked before and even with the fanatec wheel pluged in) to clicks. also with the keyboard or wheel i cant select all the various sub menues. for example on the main menue i can select the 1st 3 sub menues. clicking on the last 2 or press enter does not work. i cant even navigate to those submenues.
in the pre race menue i cant select track options or car setup. it is like the navigation ends before.. it worked whitout problems before. and i did not change anything. possible error could be nvidia dsr i play on upscaled 4k. but i cant even reach the options to set it back to 1920x1080.
please help me. i played 3 hours and so refund is not possible anymore.
i also tried to remove usb dongles and exchanged the mouse. nothing is working.

just found a solution. now the menu and mouse works again. but still flickering mouse cursor(wich is not rteally a problem)
go to: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\gravel\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and edit the GameUserSettings. change the resolution and desired width to your native screen resolution.

Just tried this and no difference what so ever. I still have an awful flickering menu screen where its fairly improbable that you can achieve any key/button remapping.

This game has serious controller conflict & config issuesI think espcially when you have more than one USB control/joystick device attached to your PC. The only way you can get rid of the issue (and this a real half-arsed fix until they patch it the correct way) is to use emulator files if you are using a gamepad.

I used the emulator noted above in this thread and its temporarily stopped my issues (even though I have a 360 controller I still need to use the 360 emulator, and you may too).

The developer has refused to respond here about the issue so nobody knows if they're even working on a fix or not.

Exactly this. Wireless usb logitech keyboard and mouse then makes my g29 not detected.

Same for me. I have a Fanatec Wheel, USB pedals connected a Leo Bodnar USB controller, and flickering all over... Literally every racing game I have tried previously have had no problems with this....
