My Builds for Altac, Terrans and Yaoguai
Hey guys, so after 50 hours of playing i'd like to share some of my builds for discussion...please comment to see how I can improve, especially with Altacs~

Atlac Build 1

1. Blade slaves (early tanky melee unit that can suffer the damage of opponents). It’s generally pretty effective against bio units in early game against Terran’s regular infantry and snipers as well as Yaoguai’s wolves and ratmen.
2. Golden Guardian – good ranged damage for early game.
3. Shadow Fish – detector
4. Shadow Skywatch – good for maps that requires you to destroy flying mines, kills enemy detectors so good for anti-air as well since it’s cloaked. But don’t build to many of them, just a couple to gain some advantage in early game.
5. Nether Ray – not used often, but if opponent is using all ground units, I might build a couple of these to counter them.
6. Hierophant – good against a bunch of small units, in case the enemy deploy something like 50 crimson rats, 30 snipers etc. it’s perfect for counter.
7. Vajra – the most important unit in this build, it’s got a lot of health to absorb damage for the rest of your team.
8. Frost Arhat – major ground DPS unit, that deals heavy damage to ground forces.
9. Turtle cub – more like an anti-Terran tank unit but I don’t find it super effective, it’s powerful when I first played this game but Terran’s tank has a longer range so I don’t use this unless I have to.
10. Great Whale – great for anti ground, but hate it when Yaoguai’s tigers are around, they counter them like no other. This is really expensive and pretty good but I don’t use them any more because they are TOO expensive. People think it’s OP-ed but I feel like unless it’s a 3V3 with healing deer to heal for it, you can easily take it out with good anti-air units. Keep it just in case the opponent has all anti-ground units.

Transformation – Blade Slaves to Silver Guardian in case of air units. Vajra to Lightening Arhat in case of major air units like Terran’s cruisers, Yaoguai’s bone dragons etc.

Skills: In terms of abilities I use a lot of Petrify and Lightning Tower. Lightning Tower is one of the best. If Kunlun is not banned, then I’ll use that one as well. I’ve also seen I lot of people use Force Field, which is super great to counter enemy missile strikes, basically makes your units immune to damage for a whole 7 seconds!! For the free skill, teleport is easy for beginners but swap is better when you’re skilled at the game, can make all the difference when trying to attack neutral units.

But overall, I’m worst at playing altac, I’m not too good at transformation strategies and feel like the armies here are not very distinct in terms of abilities pairing. I still need to do a lot of work on this race.

Terran Build 1

Most powerful build I have so far, highest win rate!

1. Sniper – so cheap and so effective, with 20 range!!! You know what 20 range means? It means u get a free shot before your enemy even gets to you! But for this set, how many I build generally depends on the map we have. If we have the maps with flying crates then I’ll use this one, if the crates are on the ground then I mass-produce flamethrowers.
2. HEF Flamethrower – so OP, but I love it. It’s good against almost any elementary units except it can’t attack air. AND if you’re the third player in a 3v3 mode, make this unit your mass-production unit, then you can have 10 before round 5. I feel like my enemies are in tears when encounter flamethrowers.
3. Medivac – honestly not very necessary but can build a couple if you have extra money.
4. Scout – anti-cloak
5. Interceptor – you can do an interceptor/HEF flamethrower combo too in the beginning so you’re good with both air and ground.
6. Infiltrator – MUST HAVE in almost ALL games. Dude, these things has the ability Deadshot, which does 150 damage to a single enemy AND it’s cloaked. An army of these (around 5-10) will snipe the life out of enemy tanks.
7. Maurauder – Our tanky guy, it’s a defense unit used to suffer front line damage as well as countering enemy mechanical units.
8. Ancile – my fav! Great against air units especially bone dragons/whales, it shoots so many missiles upon activating the missile barrage they’ll be dead before finishing their first hit.
9. Siege Tank – if it’s terran versus terran company, usually who has tanks out first will win the battle…or so Aaron says…but I think it depends, if the other side does good with cruisers then you might not actually win by producing tanks because it can’t defend against air units. However, on ground, it’s powerful because of its long range…
10. Heavy Cruiser – almost never build this unless ancile is banned or the opponent has only air units, the latter case is rare. I think actually the plasma cruiser maybe a little better because it can attack both air and ground.

Mass production: HEF flamethrowers & Infiltrators. You’ll need about 10 of each in the beginning. Since you won’t know in advance what you’ll be producing: tanks or anciles (depends on what the enemy is uses), that’s why I didn’t set those for mass production.

Terran Back-up Build

• Switched HEF flamethrower for Heavy Flamethrower…in case HEF gets banned.
• Switched medivac for A-76, these are good in case enemy only builds anti-ground units, these gets free shots at them, and they’re cloaked. However, these are easy to counter so it’s usually for surprised attacks but not for mass production.

Skills: in 3v3 game, use missile strike because it’ll make all the difference in the world (but be careful, it might be countered by Force Field if your enemy uses Atlac). If it’s banned then use catapult, airborne, bombing run or anti-tank gun…they are all good…Terran probably have the most useful skills of them all. And for the free skill, I like false rally better than rally, more effective since I’m playing the offense with this build.

This build is VERY amazing and highly effective, and I’ve been playing with it a lot with high win rates. With HEF flamethrowers, I get MVP 80% of the time hehehe.

Yaoguai Build 1

1. Ratman – a lot of people use kamikaze beetles but I feel like their initial production is too expensive, and it’s just not worth killing my troops to bomb other troops so I don’t use those. A lot of others also use crimson rate but they’re strong against mechs (but I feel most early stage untis are bios so not that great) and can’t attack air units so I chose ratman. Wolves….maybe but it’s melee and not tanky so it’s probably dead before even reaching the opponent. I’ll consider werewolf when I unlock that unit.
2. Beholder – SOOO cute, it’s anti-cloak and 200 SE cheaper than all other race’s anti-cloack units!!
3. Acidtooth Pangolin – I don’t like these at all, just had them to tank for my ratman. I usually produce no more than 2 of these and sell them out as soon as I have minotaurs or vanguards.
4. Vulture – Good against Altacs I feel because in early stage most players will use anti-ground units only for Altacs, which means vulture gets free damage.
5. Spiders - I LOVE LOVE LOVE these spiders for early to mid-game, it spits webs that traps enemies and stun them. It’s good for both tanks as well as damage dealers, a great support unit for the game to create a better environment for your damage dealers, and itself does some area damage as well (20 dmg to 3 nearby enemies).
6. Shuriken Panda – this is like a ninja panda, good against mechs, throws out a shuriken that deals area damage. It does need spiders, steelhorn minotaur or bear vanguards to tank for it though orelse it won’t have a good attacking environment. I usually produce like 10-15 of these in the end…cuz they’re pretty cheap and does decent damage. I might switch these out for Chan masters later on, those are great against bio units and deals more damage.
7. Steelhorn Minotaur – if I have lots of money then I’ll build bear Vanguards, if not I will build these. These can restore health for itself but has minimal damage of 30.
8. Restoration Deer – looks just like Malfurion from WOW, it’s amazing with its healing abilities, heals 3 friendlies at 35 HP each time!! We got smashed in a 3v3 game twice by an army of 18 restoration deer, like 12 vanguards, and a bunch of damage dealers. This is kind of like Ana in Overwatch, can’t play a ranked game without it.
9. Bowcat- shoots bows at air units, super duper uper effective anti-air, 70 damage to 1 target. It’s anti-ground is not bad but definitely not so good compared to other ground forces.
10. Bear Vanguard – I love these beasts, they jump and smash enemies dealing 60 damage up to 5 total enemies. The best thing about them is their excessive 550 health…just so awesome to have these babies on the frontline. A lot of people use bone-dragons but I feel like even though it does a lot of damage but it’s expensive and easily countered so really not worth the money. I’m Asian, I like cheap stuff that makes sense LOL.

Yaoguai Back-up Build:

• Switched Acidtoothe Pangolin to Devourer…Devourer can EAT enemies so in later games if pandas are not effective then I’ll have these Devourers as back-up.

Skills: Mind-control is probably the best one, controls enemies in target area which lasts 4s for mech units and 8s for bio units, can turn tides of the game if used right because its own armies will end up attacking each other. But if banned, then I use Giant Piranha that burrows in the ground and deals damage to enemies on top with feral rage. I’ve seen Daniel use a lot of sacrifice (consumes bio units), but those you need to be pretty good to control the timing and spot of where you locate it. For the free skill, I tend to use withdrawl, I don’t really get the shrink skill.

I think Yaoguai is my favorite race in terms of design, they’re super colorful with very distinct characteristics that made them easy to play and remember. This race is also more balanced than other races with the OP whale and OP HEF flamethrower. In this race, you must learn to balance out units well rather than produce single types of OP units.
