I'm having trouble understanding what you mean exactly.
Did you buy & download the game from Steam and/or GOG?
Because I believe Steam is the US only version of the game, while GOG has the version that allows you all languages just like the original CD's have.
Heyho!
Sorry about the confusion!
I bought the game on both platforms (I had it on GOG first and decided to get it on Steam too). I downloaded the Steam version which doesn't work, then I downloaded the GOG version which works.
That's good to know, thank you! Do you perhaps know how I can download the game in English over Steam? It unfortunately keeps installing the German version for some reason. Or is there a file located somewhere that is not removed when I uninstall the game?
This could give you issues if you have the game installed in German via GoG or CD.
What it also could be, is because you are from Germany, and your Steam if probably installed with Germany set as country, you are only able to download the German version from here.
Thank you very much! I actually downloaded the Steam version first and only after several times of reinstalling it I tried the GOG version.
I'll try switching my country of residence as I'm actually currently not living in Germany, maybe that'll help.
Thanks a lot for your help!
