Hey there!

The game can be a bit fiddly to run on Windows 10 indeed.
Before we can find out what could be causing the issues, have you looked into the Guides section?

There is a guide about how the properly install the 1.497 Patch on the Steam version of the game. There is also a guide that explains more about how to get it to run on Windows 10. I believe it's found in the Fullscreen Fix guide.

If you used automatic installation of the patch, you will need to do a clean install of the game first before following either guide. This is also usually the main reason the game fails to launch.

If you need any extra help, I want to invite you to our Giants community Discord. We have 200+ members and a selection of techsupport channels that go indepth about regularly occuring issues with the game on newer machines.

I had issues with a black screen showing and music playing.

I went to the game folder and edited whe registry file (Giants.reg) to paint to the actual steam game folder.

Now I only have the problem that the window is displayed. Maybe this helps you as well.

Did you have these issues before or after you installed the 1.497 patch? If you haven't installed the patch yet, go to the Guides section of this page and follow the installation instructions. This should fix most issues on Win10.

I eventually got the game to work but now i have a different problem ,mouse sensitivity. Thank you all for your help anyway.

There is a guide on how to fix that too in the Guides section.

Some people also have issues with mouse movement.
you can fix that by adding a launch command called "-framelimit [number]"
do not add the [ ] themselves
Right click the game and go to properties and click Local files

Now right click the .exe for the game and click create shortcut and drag it to your desktop.

Right click the shortcut and go to properties and go to the shortcut tab
in the target box go the the end of the line behind the " and add -framelimit [number]

Change [number] in 30 or 60 whichever you prefer for your frames and apply.

Now everytime you want to play the game you launch through this shortcut.
