Locomotion comments
Walking is too slow, and I don't want to have to hold the trigger to move full speed. I want to just touch the vive trackpad (not press) to move fast. I call it fast, but full speed in this game isn't fast at all.

Most people prefer controller-oriented free locomotion.

The teleport/blink arc is very short.

I only turn with my head/body with PC VR. See Turn Signal on Steam. That will help you prevent your cord from wrapping around you.

It does have snap-turn. I'm not sure what HMD you are using, but on the Oculus it's either one of the joysticks. You can even change the increments at which it turns. Try looking in the controls section of your menu. I would prefer a smooth turn option though.

I would prefer it if I could go in the direction that I point the controller but it just seems trackpad orientated.

+1 Why do DEVs keep screwing this up!

Every game should have at a minimum non-dominant, long-arc, not-too-bright trackpad-push teleportation, and non-dominant, controller-directed, trackpad-touch (not press) free locomotion.

Yes, game has been fun so far, but the controls could use some improvement.

On Oculus touch, will be good to be able to turn off rotation on the left analog stick, right now it just has options to change the snap-turn increments and I have room scale so just like to turn around physically and keep accidentally making snap-turns.

I personally like the control orientated movement, where you can point the controller in the direction that you want to move (many VR games have this as an option), right now just seems to have the head orientated movement.

I also feel the walk is too slow, would almost think the run should be the walk and then have a faster run. Could add increased walking speed as an option for people who would want that.

totally agree! touch to move, controller oriented instead of move where you look. I'm waiting to play more until that is added. as it is now it's just annoying.

I actually don't mind using the trigger to run, but a better implementation would be touch to walk and press to run on the Vive thumbpads.

Whats the difference between the Blink/teleport option and the Dash one, I dont notice any difference and I agree with the walking speed being too slow, I feel maybe a slider bar might be a good compromise

Blink is instant. Dash shows you moving briefly.

would like faster movement and strafing on the movement joystick with snap turn on the other hand
Adding my plea for controller oriented movement direction and an option to increase normal walk speed as well.

For the lil time Ive played, Im really enjoying Torn so far.

I agree free loco needs work, at least for vive pro.

Left controller movement is good except it should be the higher (closer to the edge) you touch the touch pad the faster you walk, or at least click/release touchpad to walk fast click/release again to walk slow. Holding trigger sux
(A speed slide bar in options would be nice too, walking is a lil slow atm)

Right controller touch pad should be touch or click left/right sides to rotate/turn left and right.

Atm I cant work out how to turn/rotate character, I can only work out how to move in the direction your hmd is facing,
(useless for seated play)

Please add these loco options.

yes the game is good but locomotion sucks
