Third boss for me was the Titan iirc, and I managed to draw a card through the Deck of Wonders that allowed me to destroy the sword he uses to boost his dps dramatically, phew.
most likely because it's graphics and such are not as simplistic but nonetheless it's alright, hopefully I can beat dream quest at least once before i move on to dream quest 2.0 so to speak, thanks for the advice it should help a lot in my quest for my first win
General advice for not running out of health:
--Never waste health packs by picking them up at maximum health unless you absolutely have to; this is what many of the class dungeon abilities are for, like Smash, Teleport, and Portal.
--Since leveling up heals you, I often try to fight a somewhat tougher enemy as the final enemy of a level if I have sufficient health (e.g. fighting a level 6 enemy when I'm at level 5 with 20/25 EXP).
--The first level talent Heal is great (heal all health, cooldown 5) and can be unlocked by clearing the dungeon as a Priest or by paying 2000 points. I recommend picking this roughly every time.
--If you're at low health but close to leveling up, remember that you can buy EXP at lemonade stands to make it over the hump (usually I just get health, but this is a worthwhile move if you're in a desperate spot).
--Similarly, ideally you only use the healing pools for the one free max heal, but if necessary you can use one to convert gold to health.
--You should be level 4 when you fight the first boss, level 7 when you fight the second, and level 10 when you fight the third. If you are on the second or third floor, only the boss is visible, and you aren't high enough level, you missed an invisible enemy; check every square of the map and every chest. It's possible to miss invisible enemies on the second floor so that you can't hit level 10 before fighting the third floor boss; this is very bad, so check for those enemies. Similarly, you should try to mop up any remaining level 7 elites that you may have left on the second floor after beating the boss, since you might need the EXP on the third floor.
--Some bosses can really wreck particular decks, like the Kraken stopping action chain Thieves. If you're really worried about that, you can take the second floor Polymorph talent (unlock by dying 100 times or paying 1000 points), and try to shuffle the boss into a more amenable form.
That's all pretty basic, but managing the timing of combats is a huge part of the game. As you get to know the enemies better, you'll know which ones are most dangerous to your deck (almost universally Hags, Hands of Glory, and Sphinxes, but others are trouble for specific decks) and get better at arranging the order of your fights.
Also, I recommend everyone play at Velociraptor: the difficulty isn't that much higher, you're playing the "real game" and can fight the actual final boss, and you get twice the points for unlocks/respawns.
thanks for the advice guys, helped alot
sounds cool i'll try it out and see if i can win a little more easily this time
I am having this issue with the 1st boss, no matter what class I try. I can get the boss down to like 5 or under hp, but it is still guaranteed to beat me,
Finally, an achievement in this game I stand a chance at getting. 22 hours of game play and I've never even seen the fourth floor.
What classes have you been playing? Monk is probably easiest. Paladin is good too.
And beware that the Polymorph talent can make it impossible to win, such as by turning the boss into a Lich when you have no way to destroy his Phylactery. Immortal is probably the best level 3 talent to take, especially on Velociraptor difficulty. I'm often tempted by the siren song of other talents, "I should take a talent that will make me more powerful, instead of that lame emergency heal talent!" and then I end up losing the run because of my hubris.
