Same as why EA "divorced" with Steam. As Steam has similar rules and deny to host Steam game (like for free) but allow DLC shop elsewhere. That would be simple bypass of Steam cut.
What seems to be illegal, however, is transfering save files that have bought content, unless the company (gaming platform) gives authorization to do so.
So you guys could add an import/export option and disable the export the moment a purchase has completed. Or you could ask for permission and hope they allow it.
Instead of transferring save files how about giving an upgrade code on the kong game. That you can put on this game that will give you a starting bonus based on your progress earned.
That would be a loophole around the no exporting save files issue. And keep current players. Just copy/paste some alphanumeric code.
That makes sense. I've only ever played on Steam so I don't know how the game runs through flash.
Is there still no way to move our kong account to steam?
I have 5e101 diamonds on kong, I don't want to start over again...
