Crash on startup

i started the game for the first time and got to the loading screen (with the banana in the lower right corner) and a progress bar, but as soon as the bar gets to about 90% the game freezes.

i know my specs are adequate, but nvidia geforce asked to auto save replays before the game started. that's the only thing i can think of as the problem.

anyone else running into this or have a solution?

There seem to be cases of anti-virus software causing crashes on startup. If you're running any anti-virus software, try disabling it to see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, maybe updating the Geforce Experience software along with graphic drivers could help, if they aren't up to date already.
