Resetting Leaderboards

In an attempt to minimize the cheating I've had to reset the leaderboards. I'm really sorry for you losing your leaderboard-score. I figured it was virtually impossible to know what the true rank was anyway, so hopefully it won't feel like a big loss.

On a positive note, now is your chance to claim that nr.1 position :)

Edit: Looks like the leaderboards have been hacked again. I think I understand how it's being done and sadly I can't think of a good way of preventing it at the moment. It's a shame when a few people decide to ruin the fun for the rest. Sorry about that!

Devs, I hope you can check the leaderboards weekly or even daily for cheaters.

Blocking China's entire IP range from uploading high scores should make things much easier as well.

It is common for Chinese players to cheat they see it as normality, they see it as something akin to modding.

The logic is 'I paid for the game so I can do whatever I want with it'

Actually it goes a bit deeper than that. Starting at early childhood certain aspects of Chinese culture teaches that deception and lies are ok if it is of benefit to you and sets you ahead. In a nutshell and to a certain degree of course.

Regarding leaderboards. Please introduce a way to turn those off from showing up and updating. Each time I launch the game after significant inactivity time (let's say, a day), it freezes while updating the boards for a couple of minutes. This is really irritating as I just want to play, and I couldn't care less about how high or low my score is compared to other people

I think you guys should just seek out players with 8 million+ points and ban them from participating in the leader boards. It would work quite well I think but you can do whatever you want :) It's your game after all. And thanks for making it. I'm glad to be in the first 1% of players to get the S for sensei achievement.. Thanks for making this game. Really :)
