Ok, here we go: you make it, we break it...
Here are the bugs I encountered with the current (0.5) build. I realize 3 and 4 were mentioned in the other bug thread, but I thought it best to go ahead and list them here as well:
1. Typo: Entering Cyberspace tutorial box: "If the address for the target system of a contract is know," missing letter 'n' at the end of know.
2. Typo: Hardware tutorial box: "Along the right side of the interface are buttons that allow you purchase" missing the word to between you and purchase.
3. I'm unable to exit the message center once opened. Have to alt-tab and close.
4. I'm unable to enter the net. Accessing the chair crashes to the main menu after a few seconds, even when no addresses are available.
This should fix the issue abou tnot getting into cyberspace, the collision issue with the curbs in the city, and I removed the message center from the desktop (for now).
Old build used to take about two hours for the program to cook. The new build takes 92.95 seconds.
It takes a couple minutes for Steam SDK to actually scan and upload changes to the files, but all-in-all it's about 5 minutes from the time I start cooking until I can set the patch live. So nice.
Got the spelling errors fixed on my end. They will go live with the next patch. Thanks for the catch.
The main branch is still the main branch, but I may have tweaked something wrong in the steam side of things. I'll have a look. THanks for letting me know.
UPDATE: There is a naming conflict. I just need to tweak the name of the testbuild executable to be identical to the main branch executable. It will be resolved shortly.
1. Difficulty 1 contracts are often unavailable when starting a new game. I'd say at least 2/3 restarts contained only difficulty 2 and 3 contracts. I found that I was unable to reach the target node on the level 2 difficulty if I was a little unlucky with the layout. That is, until I figured out that I can just stand back a little and cheese the samurai ic things by hitting them from outside their attack range.
2. At some point after logging into the net, my health always drops to 1.
3. I can't download any files. The search window appears and shows a file size upon finding the file, but dragging it into the deck storage window just moves the search window around without actually moving the file.
4. Searching for the same file multiple times produces different sizes of files.
5. The analyze program doesn't appear to do anything.
6. Sometimes, clicking on track did not show the objective on the hud. I haven't consistantly duplicated this one.
7. After leaving the net after attempting to download a file the first time, my computer blue screened. This did not happen again.
8. Typo in Cyberspace Combat Tutorial: "This will display an known information" looks like it should read "all known information".
9. I experienced several "Fatal Crashes" at various times in meat space, often (or perhaps every time?) while just standing still.
1. Every time I attack I get a software cool down. (doesn't seem to stop me from attacking )
2. The light ball visual from the hit effect continues to be there and in other areas of the same network.
