On a great Path
Greetings! I've looked everywhere for a game that recreated that Johnny Mnemonic look with an Uplink style gameplay, and I can't believe it took me this long to find this one!
I'm loving it so far, and I think I've played enough to give a somewhat decent opinion on some of the facets of the game.

I liked the earlier elements in the servers and I'm wondering why some were taken out. I'm talking about those Gravlift for example. Maybe consider bringing them back? And even adding more "movement" elements like that? It's a small detail, but breaks the monotony of pressing "W" to go everywhere. Have tunnels, high-speed information highways that auto-move you a long distance, stuff like that. It's pretty useless and non-interactive for the most part, but they're fun and would look great.

I also like both the older-style nodes and the new ones. How about diversifying how each server looks? Have a "tileset" for each Host rating, or randomize one from several whenever you enter a server. Theme them too: have some that look like digital castles, or forests, or just have random abstract math-themed one's.

I loved how I could swap out some chips and get another CPU and Response chip in. 2 Body, so if I get tagged twice, that's it for that run. BUT: I'm so fast, even the Samurai doesn't stop me.
Still can't defeat some of the higher-level Hagan's Wall, but I'll get there.
Gotta be my favourite part of the game, customizing the Mobo. The buttons for that interface are cheap-ish looking, but the chips and the mobo themselves? 5 stars man, love it.

I love the idea of having to put my programs together instead of buying them pre-made. Even after picking Engineer and making my programming life a living hell, it's still great. And I love that you can make cheap programs to train and get some spare cash. Especially because I can see that with a better CPU, I can make better programs for dirt-cheap and sell them at a profit.

Asking for more IC is something everyone will eventually ask, but I'm currently content with the amount that's in. Love the models and animations. Noticed two problems though:
Sometimes, the Code Tagger will perform the "Repair firewall" animation when it's actually trying to scan me. Happens after I burn their sensors down to 1 (I don't burn them to 0, otherwise they actually start repairing the firewall and I gotta burn that too).
Also, when you have the Onion mod (the noobish one everyone starts with), you get a small text box informing you have "3 Sheilds" instead of 3 Shields. Might wanna look at that :)

Quick tweak I'd sugest: inform the hacker how much storage he'll need to perform download jobs. That's something uplink did and I never noticed how much it's needed. After failing a mission to get a 43 sized file, I upgraded up to 50. A couple hours later, I failed one because of a 52 file. It gets annoying fast.
I failed a Ravencore Operation because I deleted a file they asked me to download, but that's entirely on me, thought I found it hilarious.

I loved how Neural Stress works. The whole "do jobs, rest, sparetime to program" game loop works wonderfully.

When you order parts, maybe have boxes spawn near the entrance of the bunker? Press E on them and they disappear. Would look better than interacting with a blue keypad.

Codebits have been stated by others: they need an overhaul. It's tedious to gring them.
Sugestion: give each ICE a set amount of bits (dependant on their dificulty and host dificulty).
Have it so that you earn that amount of bits if you defeat them.
Datamining simply multiplies that amount by the dataminer's rating. So the starter one will double your earnings in exchange for "losing a turn" mining. It would not be cumulative, just need to run it once. Would make the upgrade from Miner2 to Miner3 much more impactfull and reduce the early game grind for bits meaning you could get your hands on 1 virus or that Code Lock emulator routine faster.

I'd like a parallel market (maybe located in haven) where I could sell files I found on corp servers. Just assign a random value to each file, and if I download it and bring it to haven, I get to sell it for a fee. Maybe even have a scanner to determine how "valuable" a certain file is or isn't.

That's it for me, I'm loving it so far, can't wait to see where you all take this game!
