You are not supposed to get strong unless you use overpowered skills or some kind of exploits. Game basically hard locks you at level 80-ish, from where there is no way to progress:
- with experience penalty you cannot level
- there are close to no item drops
- skill upgrade orbs drop does not exist also
- no item crafting compared to poe1 or any other arpg
- itemization is very bad. gear flooded with random worthless affixes like "light radius" that has no reason to exist
- you can't complete ascendancy for more points because of the reasons above, plus Trial of sekhemas is the worst game design ever, that is highly dependent on RNG and bugs that depletes your "honor" randomly for no reason
- its just repetetive grind fest of same boring maps
- normal mobs randomly explode after death in which they one shot you
And many more general bugs from season1:
- monsters constantly stunlock and perma cc you by other means with no ability to counter
- getting oneshotted from offscreen
- most casters spells do not scale from spellpower
- most phys skills deal no damage, even if you build around it, including new ascendancy skills
- viper boss fight in campaign still have 1shot mechanics that she spams up to 6 times in a row
- bosses spam invul phases for literaly minutes

And minor annoyances like:
- many monsters are like twice as fast as you
- dcs no matter what gateway you select
- most traders from "trade site" just ignore you or try to scam you

Still game has:
- okeyish graphics
- few skills that are fun to play but quickly get's boring

Okay game for one time completion, but if it worth your time and money?
Just buy Titan Quest 2
I thought this will be Dark Souls on steroids but there is so much fancy mechanics that could me completly gone and no one would notice especially mechanic that let's u be in two worlds at once world of living beings and world of dead ones what does that mean? it means that you will be sitting on one map 2x times longer cuz devs wants you to play the same map both times but the only diff is that dead world is frustrating filled with not fun mechanics.
at first it seemed amazing but it gets stale very quickly and sadly game is boring, imo not worth it.
