Tested the Denuvo Anti-cheat
I would like to clear up the hoopla about the Denuvo Anti-cheat in League Of Maidens.

First, The vast majority of what has been said about The Anti-cheat is nothing but info with zero substance and proof. It's just bad buzzwords put together to kill a game because cheaters can't cheat, pirates can't pirate, and haters need fuel because no free nude Booba/furry/futa. I just played the game and ran it through a lot of tests - I saw nothing out of the ordinary. My PC is fine, there's no malware, the game runs smooth and I'm having a good time.

Second, For anyone wondering "How did I test it", and yes, I see you out there:
-Used WinPatrol which monitors all processes that make calls to the OS.
-Malwarebytes Premium was running.
-NZXT CAM was monitoring CPU and GPU Temps.
-Wireshark for packet captures.
-Ran Drive health checks after I finished playing.

-The results were (Not surprising to me at all):
-Winpatrol reported nothing.
-Malwarebytes reported nothing.
-NZXT CAM showed Temps within optimal levels
(CPU never hit 100% once, GPU was nominal temp)
-Packet Cap showed Steam, Windows Update and a few small processes checking for updates. Nothing suspect at all.
and the Health Checks are clear on all drives, including the drive the game is on, which is an SSD.

Tl;dr: The game runs like normal, everything was fine from start to finish and I had a blast playing it. So to all of those bent out of shape over the Anti-cheat...cut the misinformation bs and play this.

Edit: I made a video about Denuvo anti-cheat in LoM. The comments have been disabled in the video, to deter trolls and doomsayers.

denuvo looks like a parasite to any computer system it serves no prupose being in the game, just do your own reasearch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re6aY2eqoP4 Don't Punish Players With This... Denuvo Anti-Tamper

Except this is about Denuvo DRM, which has earned its reputation. Denuvo Anti-Cheat is relatively new and doesn't have enough data to back up whether it impacts performance or not.

Though it's absolutely useless if it can't detect code modifications made while the game isn't running.

So far the only controversy with the anti-cheat was people didn't like it being used in a single player game, DOOM Eternal.

This game has some cause for its use, being you can use in-game currency to buy (some) cash shop outfits now. The previous anti-cheat did not work, you could remove it from the game folder and still play normally.

They have zero protection against cheat engine scripts, give it time and someone will make a script to unlock the costumes anyways. So kind of a greedy move on the devs part after saying it was to combat cheating when they aren't even worried or concerned for people memory editing their BP, shards, gold, etc

Denuvo is a fantastic move by the developers. Is it really that hard to buy the outfits from the in-game SHOP? Now, you can even EARN the outfits IN-GAME without having to BUY THEM. If the developers can earn rightful cash from the SHOP, let it be.

How do you know Denuvo is to stop people from cheating in their outfits by editing the games dll files? I'm not a cheater that's why I'm asking.

The sad part is thus far, the current anti-cheat doesn't seem capable of detecting dll edits, unless it simply records and reports offenders to the devs.

Because they even said so themselves that it was being added to stop people from just using dnspy to edit their dlls. Though when you think of anti-cheat you'd think they would also stop memory edits. And no you can NOT earn every outfit with in-game currency, only a small few they added just for that feature. All the previous content and a lot of the newer ones you'd still have to pay for. Yes you should pay for them as most every other game online that has cash shop outfits, but what triggers me is that given time someone that's smart enough with assembly and lua WILL find a way to cheat their cash shop items in anyways.

Either way, I will be BUYING all of the outfits to support my favorite game despite some or all of them being available in-game through missions or quests. Let's not forget that FREE outfit they gave us. Well appreciated.

No, its not. But they denuvod everyone no matter fair customer or thief/cheater.
Steam itself is DRM too and I got plenty of games/DLCs, Im not a cheater. Why should I suffer from that denuvo restrictions.

The fact remains Denuvo is not a good piece of software and it has been tested by gamers everywhere and it gets a lot of bad press and not for being good but for being harmful to a person's gaming experience in the form of slowdowns and at times to their PC's in the form of shutdowns.

People don't like having their computers monitored especially in a single player game and people also don't want to be that unlucky random person that gets computer crashes from having anti-cheat spyware running on them either at the very least slow downs with stutters for the unlucky people.

I personally believe concerns by the devs could be dealt with in a less nuclear fashion, but they chose the more controversial route instead, you can't blame people honestly for being a bit cautious.

The cons of Denuvo far out weigh the pros for many people and you can't erase the issues that Denuvo has been reported as having over the years.

Not to forget people have cracked Denovu before.

Everything you just said is related to the DRM, not the anti-cheat, which is what GodOfKnockers just tested.

thank you for you time and effort for testing on YOUR computer, how about the other people that have had problem, as people have had problems, like its spyware/malware and sketchy at best ( especially when game dev's remove after so long, like EA). i see this denuvo as a parasite cause that how they work they latch on to the deep part of the computer as in code itself. here is a video that ive shared before on what looks to be from his investigation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re6aY2eqoP4

the amount of people that actually get a decent fps drop is in double digits. and the ones that complain about the most are rally only drop a couple frames. if denovu was soooo bad in this area then this game would have massive threads on fps and lag issues.

as for the being monitored part this game already monitors you. its connected via a server (which yes for a single player game is very odd). so even before they added the "big bad wolf" you were already monitored. so again thats crap

there reasoning is sound that they wanted to stop cheaters from getting things off of the store for free. that is their big money source so it makes sense they want to really protect it.

for all the uproar about denovu its all just hot air. the only reason its like this is because word of mouth instead of people just actually doing tests themselves. but people will shout into the void regardless unfortunately.

this game has its faults, denovu is not one of them.

Both called Denuvo, there should not be much difference.

You don't have to suffer from any denuvo restrictions. You can just buy the outfits from SHOP or stop crying about denuvo restrictions because you may have intentions to cheat to get the oufits.

If you don't have a CHEATING ISSUE. The ANTI-CHEAT shouldn't be a problem. If you do CHEAT then you'll find yourself like the others crying about it forever.

"greedy" - free game supported by cosmetic dlc.

"greedy" - losers who want everything for free.
