Tie Breaker rules?
We just completed a game that ended with 2 on the correct set, 2 on an incorrect one, and another 1 on a different incorrect one. The one with the 2 correct were the people seeing all three cards. This was stated as a defeat, but we think according to the rules the tie should have been broken with the people with 10 clairvoyency each. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks!

The tie breaker was the dude that choose a different incorrect one. There were 5 players... 2 choose the correct one and 3 didnt. I dont see what is the confusion about it?

According to the physical version rules, if a plurality of players choose the correct answer it should be a win, not a strict majority.

Yes if the plurality of players with the correct answer equals 50% or more of the total number of players.
You were 5, only 2 gave the right answer, so the game is lost. The rule that you quote is fine if you're in number even to play, if you get a draw you go to calculate the points of clairvoyance of the players.

No. You are describing needing a *Majority* (>50%) not a *Plurality*.

That is *NOT* the rule.

Here are the rules from the rulebook:

"When all tokens have been placed, proceed as follows:
if one of the groups has received more votes than the others, it is chosen as the
suspected culprit’s group;
if no single group has a clear majority, the tie is broken in favor of the group
chosen by the player who progressed furthest along the clairvoyancy track. That
group is considered to represent the psychics’ verdict on the culprit"

So I'll break it down:

"if one of the groups has received more votes than the others" This was NOT the case, as there was a tie at 2 votes each.

"if no single group has a clear majority" -- This is true.

" the tie is broken in favor of the group chosen by the player who progressed furthest along the clairvoyancy track" -- So the tie would be broken by the best player. Which, as a I said in the original post was one of the two people who say all three cards and not just two.

"That group is considered to represent the psychics’ verdict on the culprit" -- So the group as a whole DID choose the right culprit and it should have been a win, thus this is a *BUG*.

I seem to remember that in the second edition a variant of the finale has been added (variant that makes the game faster and harder) and if it isn't a bug, that variant is the one that was implemented by devs in the digital version.
Its well known that devs had to make simplistic choices for development.

The manuals vary from edition to edition, for example: in the English and Italian version if there is a draw even with the number of players with the most clairvoyance, then you choose the group with the eldest player; in the Spanish one he is the youngest player.
