If team modes do end up in the game, the ability to team up with a local friend and fight online players / bots would be something we'd want to support.
Currently there are a few different configurations you can play in:
- You and other local players can play against online players in matchmaking
- You can play with your online friends in private host/join lobbies
- You can play with local players and AI bots in local-only games
We're in the process of making this even more flexible - we are combining host/join lobbies and local only games so that you can seamlessly play with any configuration of local players, online friends and AI bots. These improvements might not be in for the full launch however.
Another idea could be to use AI to fill matchmaking games, but we haven't explored that yet so no promises.
I love the game so far and I hope those things come in the future.
Those feature will make the game bullet proof if the player base go low.
Thanks again for the answer.
