How to pull out the swords correctly?

This feels like something obvious I'm missing or forgot since going through the tutorial or something but...

How do I choose between standard and reverse grip when pulling out the sword?

It seems like half the time I'm pulling it out in reverse grip or accidentally taking the sword I'm currently holding in my right hand, when I try pull the other sword out with my left.

Hello, do you have it on your hip or on your back ?
When I have backhand grip turned on and it's on my hip, it takes some time to get used to pulling it out the way I wanted .
To answer your question, it depends on your hand's orientation, if your thumb is closer you get standard / forehand, if your pinky is closer to the tsuba (blade guard) then reverse/backhand.

It took me a month to realize that you can put a weapon on your lower back too :D
