Had the EXACT same problem. Couldn't join any public "Official Server" or even the trading posts without being disconnected about 1-10 seconds later, if not instantly.
This might not necessarily help you, but honestly 'time' fixed the issue for me. I highly doubt it's anything to do with your computer. Just double check you're in the right region when joining a room (pings above 100+ like to kick you without warning, from my experience). I had the issue for about 2-4 hours. Left, did a bit of work, got distracted with the internet, came back, started steam up from scratch and got in without a problem.
Regardless, best of luck there.
Hey Kiotsu
My colleague said that this problem could happen over time, but so far it's the same, have you done anything involving settings in the game or on the computer? I want to play this game a lot, but like I said so far nothing, just sadness
Regardless, thank you
In terms of settings, I've honestly just rocked what my computer decided it wanted to do via the defaults. If you're getting into the game (pass the login screen) but not into the actual matches, it "COULD" have something to do with your internet.
...if you're still having this problem though, there are two suggestions I could recommend that worked for me on OTHER titles. I couldn't play Arma 2 or another game quite awhile back with my brother and ended up having to use Hamachi in order to get online and into a room. I highly doubt that would be a viable solution but I'm just putting that one out there. Other idea would be to check your internet. Of course you're connected to it, but there could be a port issue (means going through the fun process of setting up a Static IP address on your comp) or simply a connection issue, such as too much demand from your current internet provider or something along those lines.
(This is ENTIRELY assuming it's something to do with your internet) I'd start simple and would disconnect/restart your connection that from whatever network you're on. If that didn't work, I'd give the modem a kick (or router if you have absolutely no access to the modem). I don't mean a literal kick but unplug it for 30 seconds and then wire everything back up. If that still didn't work, then Plan C would be to do a wired connection (if possible) and see if the problem still exists.
How long have you been running into this problem with this game?
Hello again, sorry for the delay to respond ...
I did everything you said, and the only alternative I had was to test the ethernet cable directly on the modem, and it worked, but since I use a laptop and the modem stays away, it makes it harder for me to play, but that's Ok, Because the game is now running normally.
Do you have any tips for running wifi without problems?
Thanks a lot for the help !!
Out of curiosity, what is your internet speed at (not which you purchased, but what is the actual Wi-Fi speed running at)?
Also, are you playing in a complex (apartment, townhome, dorm, etc) or in a house? Reason I'm asking about the housing is because of interference. I'm in an apartment but one thing that I had to do was change my Wi-Fi channel to get a smoother connection (I think there's about 12-14 channels that get automatically assigned. If multiple routers in the complex pick the same channel, your speed can get bugged down pretty bad). 9/10 times you WON'T have to do that...but I'm trying to think of everything that could possibly cause/be an issue at the moment.
And no worries on the delay, I was a bit late replying too lol. Keep me posted.
Hello again bro
The speed of my internet over the wifi is 15mbps, it is excellent, it runs all my games perfectly, but only the NewZ that is giving me problems.
I play at home, but even testing on the modem side of the problems, I did what you told me about the wifi channels, improved my internet in general, but did not solve the problem.
Anyway, I will continue to play for cable ethernet, many thanks for the help, at least now I am getting to play.
THANK YOU BRO
I'm going to take a minute and go back to mental drawing board lol. If you're 'still' having this problem with consistency, it has to be some setting disagreeing with your Wi-Fi router somehow...I just haven't placed what it is yet. The game isn't necessarily high demand on the band-width so, like you said, your internet connection speed should be more than adequate/enough.
I'll need to do a bit of searching about what process is crapping out on you right when you join when it comes to "THIS" game. Makes no sense since the others work well. Most games when it comes to utilizing any ports (hence the previous port forward/static IP reference from before) use the same ports...so if you're playing others online fine, you should be able to get on with this one as well.
I can't immediately think of anything in the games settings (speaking from memory) that relate to the connection, but I can screenshot you a pic of where my settings are at if you want to cross-reference them. The only issue is I don't see that fixing anything since you can get on easily with a wired connection...
I'm missing something lol. I'll have to rethink of it in the morning/tomorrow. After a day of work, coming home and working, and then trying to think (such as now), I'm bound to mess up one of those functions lmao. It's the thinking part that's dodging me XD.
Oh, feel free to add me as a friend here or in the game (though that function is still kinda buggy). Not sure if you can search by character name (again, going from memory), but if you can, my in-game name is Kagito.
I'll keep you posted if anything of relevance decides to cross my brain's path.
Sorry to "re-open" this 2½ year old wound, but I have this issue now in 2019, and I never had issues with NewZ ever before... Seems to be the EXACT same issue as you had... Just wanted to ask, if you ever managed locate what's causing it and fix it?
Thank you for your time!
