Incoming patch
Hi fellow villains,

Edit 19/09/2018 v2.0 beta branch (select "development" branch in steam game property)
Beta branch with a preview of the coming feature.
DISCLAIMER: This has not been fully tested or polish.
Don't hesitate to give us your feedback, so we can fix it before the official update release

Feature
- Batteries, wood generators, treadmill generators, wires.
- Alarm and Presence sensors (to activate/deactivate alarm).
- Lightning rod. (to get electricity from thunder and protect your mansion)
- Mobile phone jammer.
- Electric door (close when powered by electricity).
- The impressive finger of evil!. A machine that gives you the power to generate lightning! You can zap victims, heroes or even your own minion to make them go faster.
- Some furniture now needs electricity. Candle needs to be light by your minion.
- Reduce the cost of things that need electricity.
- Custom map, configure a map to your will.
- Difficulty level, normal, hard very hard, so you can play casual, or scream all way.

Improvements
- Click on an item in the inventory select it and focus on it (finding weapon).
- Reduce game size (-80 mo download size).
- improved sound spatialization.
- Be able to reorder crafting queue.
- Be able to configure your minion IA (attack, defend, neutral)
- Be able to change sleep and fedd priorities.

Bugs fixed
- Bug: Achievement: killing a hero are not count correctly
ACHIEVEMENT_KILL_HEROES_LEVEL1.
- Bug Event, give brain, don’t come back.
- hypnotized people should still be able to be attacked by minions.
- Bug: dogs seem to be ignoring the fire hydrant Medium done Alexandre.
- Bug: if you have 2 rows of minion portraits, their portraits will cover the popup notifications on the screen.
- Bug: if you have enough minions to scroll down in the job board, the lowest minion is difficult to see coz they're covered by the menu graphics.
- Bug: heroes seem to have stopped spawning when I reached high suspicion. it says "villagers are aware of my murderous activities!" but no angry village mob is showing up, no heroes are showing up either.
- Bug: dr. frankenstein heal dart doesn't activate after successfully using it a few times. even after waiting a few days to recover stamina. dart still doesn't activate. dr. frankenstein just humps the targeted minion but nothing happens.
- Remove the evilium in gold storage containers.
hypnotized minions (ie : hypnotized by the vampire in vacation event) are taken out of roster, but - you can "hire" them again to stop the hypnosis, although they give everyone else the "saw a minion die" loyalty debuff.
- I'm still not getting the "kill virgin last" bonus, I only get the reward for "kill them when alone" bonus.
- Victims could see twice a trap from other room and get stuck.
- Dog barking sound doesn't stop.
- Bug TV bad cooldown



Edit:06/22 patch:
- Save/Load bugs: 93% fixed.
- Lab XP gain doesn't work when monster wears glasses.
- Rotating walls work on non attracted victims.
- Monsters with increased health from lab return to default health after sleeping in special bed.
- Turret just shoots sometimes at nothing.
- Achievements "all research done" and "100 days "not always trigger.
- Turret not always reloading.
- Some Heroes Attack victims.
- Dogs have wrong sound when die.
- Sarcophagus increases the max hp but shows a -1hp icon.
- Fire Hydrant can be placed on the road.
- Saving a file and name it with something with " K " it will activate fight stance.
- Fire can't be extinguished after a tv as been burned.

Edit:05/24 patch:
- Save/load (60% fixed)
- Vampire burning indoor
- 0HP forest creatures
- 0HP victims
- 0HP heroes
- Virus event limited (to 1 per game)
- Sitting on inactivated table bug
- Chemistry bench display bug
- Victims not scared of spikes
- Workbench subpriority save
- Vampire hypnosis not working
- Invisible superior bed
- Crypt problem with advanced clown (clown still has no power, to be fixed)



(Some of this bugs might seem trivial, but they actually caused save and/or load issues)

We haven't forgotten Mac specific issues, we are still looking for a coder who can help with them.

A big ‘thanks’ to all of you who helped us making an incredible launch of Machiavillain possible. We really are happy many of you enjoy the game so much!

Besides the many positive messages we also received reports that our minions still need to fix some bugs. Thank you, that is very helpful.

Joking aside, truth is some bugs would have already been patched, but Murphy's law struck.

Some of you might already know, we are a team of 2, one dev/coder (Alexandre) and one artist (Zimra).
After weeks of extremely hard work leading up to release, the day of the launch, Alexandre's eyes became extremely painful, and we had to go to the emergency room. He had to have a light surgery and he has trouble seeing for now. He is going to get better, but sadly in the meanwhile he can't code.


But the good news is that we are bringing aboard help in form of a coder, so we can send the patch asap.

Here are the bugs/issues we are focusing on in high priority:

- Save bugs (30% fixed)

- Load bugs (30%fixed)
- Trees growing on floor (fixed)
- Minions stopping working when some rooms are completely closed

- Adding/improving hotkeys

- Proofreading the english version (done)

- Virgin detector (done)
- Rotating walls (done)

We'll release patches as soon as as possible.

Is this also fixing the Immortal enemies after reloading in fight ?

You know people says it's bad this game is compared to Rimworld, but i think the problem is that Rimworld kind of set a new standard for managing your units in a simulation game, and there are many things from Rimworld this game could use to greatly improve. For example, you can see your units at the top of the screen, but if you try to select them from there, you cant. You can't also shift-click they portraits to select them all quickly, or use the numbers (1,2,3,etc) for quick select just like in Rimworld. I'm not saying that Rimworld is better, just that they have a very efficient system and it would just make this game more fun and friendly if they had the cool concepts that Rimworld has.

You actually.can select your minions at the top. Holding Ctrl and left clicking will allow you to select multiple minions at once. Although being able to drag through their portraits would be a welcome addition.

my suggestion is to make the forum more efficient by adding categories, like bugs, suggestions etc

Bodies dropped by the undertaker vanish almost immediatly, so you don't get the chance to grab them.

Sometimes some of my minions are left doing nothing. They only eat or sleep but do not work, whatever they do.

Somemore bug not listed above

1. Minion job priority list sometime will double list a random minion you have. The one duplicated will stay idle in the list until you load a save or reboot the game.

2. When planing rotating wall trap will make other planned wall go invisible.

Tanks guys for this awasome game.
I have played 24 hours since the launch and I can't stop ; p

It would be great if we could :
-Bind groups of minions to hotkeys.
-Priority task by Minions
