Look at the morale tab. The things making them happy and angry are literally listed with numbers telling you how much these things are upsetting them.

Food, Sleep and Prestige are easily covered. Also make sure they have their own bedroom. Some minions have negative treats "smartass" which give a perm debuff. If possible try to make groups of the same minions, a minion which is the only type in the maison will be sad.

The hardest one for me is EVIL, I try to put down spooky lamps but it barely seems to make a difference. Prob needs to be rebalanced a bit.

Make sure they have enough food! Food is prob the biggest debuff (-20 and -40)

Another one are wounds, if minions are wounded make sure to patch em up. You will be wondering why they keep getting enraged until you figure out they are upset because they are hurt. A Dr. Frankenstein or healing pod can patch em up.

Research the advanced decorations. You can put in blood fountains, mutant plants and stuff that boost evilness a lot. Make sure to decorate their bedrooms, its where they spend the most time.

For me the biggest thing is realizing that the initial Freshly Hired +60 morale modifier goes away and after that even a -8 modifier is big.

* You can go for weeks without building them individual bedrooms and the negative effects from sleeping on the ground for too long will go away after they sleep well in a bed (same with healing old injuries).

* Multiple Candle Sticks in a single room seem to stack. However, I think the Minion needs to pass through the overlapping areas (I'm very not sure on this one).

* Telling your Minions you love them and are special to you doesn't seem to have any effect (although I'm not confident my microphone is set up correctly). Instead I suggest you remember that if they do not serve you then they are inherent more-than-worthless liabilities to be expended with a click of the Dismiss button. If you follow the rules of killing Victims then you should have more than enough resources to click the Crypt UI button, selecting Job Offer, and hiring new Minions.

* Giving Minions 2x2 Rooms instead of 1x2 means you can put things in there so the bedroom doesn't drag down their overall environment scores as much.
