Difficulty curve is too steep?
at day 68 I had 12 suspicion and 6 minions though the heros that came at day 70 were brutal, +800 hp with shotguns and chainsaws.

I had a simple killbox for around 6 - 10 victims.Minions didnt have any weapons other than sticks and stones but some useful gear.after they have killed 4 of my minions with other 2 heavily wounded, I just smashed crtl+f4.

Was I underpowered or is it a bad luck?

Hell my map layouts are killing me more. I had 4 maps in a row where I literally had maybe 20 trees total. The rest was just rock everywhere. I had enough map space to build a couple 3x3 rooms but I ended up running out of food because I couldnt even get a kitchen up quick enough.

So basically if you made day 68..... You are doing aight. lol

Definitely too steep of a difficulty curve. Kind of sad since the building aspect is what keeps me playing. The grind + difficulty of staying alive makes the game too annoying to play for too long.

u get a variety of minions? u level their combat skills? u get them gear or further train them? healing them in their healing chamber?

lastly, kinda cheaty, u can kite.... take fastest and show ur face. they aggro, run in tight a circle as u can and have whole army attack. i have mummy curse maxed and a frankinstine monster tank if needs be. dr frankinstin i think heals? one of them does. between the tank and healer u should be fine even if u NEED to face tank something. with both of these tactics in my hands i havent run across anything i cant mow down. most annoying thing to me is hunters either glitch running super fast *face tank* or hero warning long gone and then they show up... guess they dont leave like victims do at next day start or end what ever.

I have 2 skeletons, 2 werewolfs and 2 pshycopaths with variety of necklaces for either strength or mind upgrades in around 2 to 4 levels.
I also use the agro&run tactic with my skeletons but the way that the heroes split up around the map makes it hard to kite them around and some geek looking machete heroes are way faster than my minions. They easily catch up to my fastest skeleton with +30% speed bone necklace .

I agree.

all of you are aware you can do custom maps with the hero's turned off, right? I don't, but I've had the crusader squad, 3 knights and a priest, hustle up to me on day 44. so while I agree on the difficulty curve being steep, there are ways to smooth it out, such as making it so you can "airlock" parts of your base.
my kitchen has a couple of little corridors leading to it, and I just lock my minions inside with walls until the mob decides they have had enough looking around empty rooms and leaves
