1. My psychopath minion became very enraged (-20) pts due to Hunger x2. Until I told him to go eat brains in storage (they were not spoiled), then he was fine. Not sure if it was because of his mnion type or it was a bit buggy.
2. Sending mail is a bit confusing. Ads & letter setup/mailing sequences not very clear. Video devs put up as a "Help" is outdated from final release popup windows.
I still love the game, just a few things I found a bit confusing.
1. Hotkeys are a big necessity.
2. Let us select a single item and do an action on it rather than select a minion to do that action.
3. Priority system needs a per minion priority. A-la-rimworld. I am constantly changing job priorities and it's not fun at all.
4. What's the point of limiting jobs to a minion? I see an idle one and have to go into jobs to change it. If it were permanent jobs I'd call it a mechanism but it'd have to be balanced. Otherwise it's an annoyance.
5. Let us move the mailbox. 99% of the time one of my minions will have to move to the other side of the map right before the arrival of victims so I have to stop the minion from moving.
6. We need a zone for minions to work in when in "combat mode". There's too much time wasted waiting around for victims to arrive. Just have a form of telling them to stay inside a zone.
7. Make things cheaper!! It's a huuuuuuuge grind for most of the traps.
8. Maybe add some kind of difficulty slider? As it stands it is really really hard to keep up with the game and while it might be fun for some, I like to take things a little slower. It's a constant struggle.
I'm sure I'll think of some more but these are the main ones after playing for a few hours. Definitely a really cool game in the making.
If my camera is over to the left I hear the UI clicks on the right. And vice versa. Shouldn't it be centralised? It's extremely irritating.
Maybe being able to build the mailbox would be wonderful. Even add a one time animation of the mail truck stopping wondering when a mailbox was put in. It would be hilarious.
Expandable land would be wonderful. I know the devs have commented on it but the map feels really small.
Timers feel really broken. The countdown to villagers arriving just randomly ticks down with 1.2 as a calculation of time. Less than a min and it counts right but just skips random amounts of time. 2 - 5 seconds.
More pawn control would be nice. Like zoning them to not leave areas. or set an abush area for when victims come along and you press combat mode.
I've been playing one session non-stop since I got the game until about 8:20 tonight, then I wanted to check out the other graphics setting, just wanting to see if it was that noticable... Upon re-loading, the selector at the top for my minions dissappeared, and the walls went invisible, I'd like to stress that as I'll only be talking about the HUD issue from now on:
The Walls Were Invisible.
It's day one, so I can live with a bug like that, they'll probably patch it eventually. However, I was also unable to open up any encounter. For example, I wanted to get a Frankenstein, as my Vampire was getting burnt up, so I had previously called in the Minion Merchant. However, I couldn't open up the menu for it. Similarly with the other trucks, as well as the bottom left menu's for either Minion or Victim... And seeing as I had been keeping a slot open for my Zombie to make lesser zombies for me to sell to the Minion Merchant, it became a big problem, as it meant my source of income was now gone. All of that being said, it rendered the game nearly unplayable...
That being said, in theory, yes I could continue playing. However to a severe hinderence and at the cost of much of the enjoyment, seeing as I would now have to snake my way around near every situation that the Minion portion of the HUD exists for.
Ultimately, I'll take a break until I can get a fix for this... Similar problems existed in similar games like Prison Architect, but there were workarounds. With the simplicity of the game thus far though, no such solution exists that I've managed to find.
If anyone can help bring this to their attention, I'd be very grateful... This is an awesome game, and I'd hate for this to be the end of it for me.
Crashes
Macbook Pro
1) Game keeps crashing after killing victims, even when starting a new game I can't kill victims without it crashing. I noticed it tends to be the second kill - I can kill one victim and soon as a second id killed it crashes. I don't know why but hopefully that helps narrow it down.
2) Crashed twice while killing Spider enemy, but not when killing some Walking Evil Tree enemy (not a stationary evil tree). Don't know if that makes a difference.
This is not an early access game. It's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I would've liked to test more, but if I do, it goes over the 2 hour limit for refunds, so yeah. Not impressed.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kick-farter, never heard of a success story coming of a kickstarted cash-in and i doubt anyone ever will.
Crashes
Macbook Pro
1) "My game keeps crashing after killing victims." I noticed it's not just 'the second victim i try to kill' but certain victims seemed to bugged. In my recent attempt of 3 victims I tried changing the order of victims I killed succeeded in the first two this time but when I tried to kill a third (a little girl with pigtails I think?) it crashes so I'm forced to let them run away and live just to move on. I don't have virgin detectors yet so it's possible something about unique about the character like that, could be causing a crash and it's the only thing I can think of that's a feature that might make a victim different from another. (Not including other type like Geeks, etc, since I'm still on Basic Victims.)
> My only solution: So far to save before victims and hope I can kill without it crashing - if it does I reload, try a different victim until I determine which ones won't crash my game.
2) "Crashed twice while killing Spider enemy, but not when killing some Walking Evil Tree enemy (not a stationary evil tree)." I remembered when the Walking Tree enemy was about to kill my minion it was aggro on (has a red line and chases after them) I sent my minion to run away and in kinda a circle while my other minions chased the tree and were able to kill it without the game crashing. Another random Spider enemy appeared and had all my minions attack and kill and crash my game. So I reloaded, I repeated my steps, looked for who it was chasing after, had them run in a big circle while the other minions attacked and when they killed the Spider - no crash. I'm guessing the minion being targeted cannot kill the enemy for some reason without crashing the game.
> My solution: If you're also having this problem, have your 'targeted' minion (who the enemy is chasing and focused on attacking) run in a big enough circle so that they aren't being hurt while your other minions kill the enemy.
That's all, I just wanted to update in case other had a similar problem and hope this makes it easy for the dev to figure out and fix the problem.
steam workshop mod support.
that has to be planned right?
For bugs you can keep posting here, or you can also use the "send feedback" button (bottom right) to send us the game data (don't forget to add a title). Thank you!
