Save by interacting with shrines littered throughout the levels after prologue.

Not a good save method, not only is it not mentioned, but I played about 15 -20 minutes, and saw no shrine, and needed to save to quit for the night, no save so have to play from start again.

RedCandleGames - Thank you for this amazingly atmospheric and creepy adventure.
Parts of it remind me of The Cat Lady, another favorite but I'm loving the eastern themed mythology and the holding breath mechanic so far.

Tom_corbett, I've only played about half an hour so far.

The 1st usable save-shrine is in the principles office - a little further to the right after using the phone there?

The game does lead you to that room early on with the phone ringing sound.
Personally I found the save shrine easily as I continued to explore this room after answering the call.

It explained the purpose of the shrine as a save point, and I think the game auto saves at various points - (origami notepad icon flashes up bottom left when doing so) - I am fairly sure it did during the prologue.

However that being said, after getting the phone call, I was told that I should go to the councillors office on the third floor?
I could have easily finished the phone call and left the room without discovering the shrine further to the right as you may perhaps have done.

So anyway, its basically the shrines to save or rely on autosave (if it does).

It's hard to explain why in 2021 we still have some games with weird savegame points. Sometimes we don't have time enough, should I keep the pc turned on until I can complete the level... oh
