Hi Whelly, nah, I didn't want to skip three, I was really enjoying it - but I put in like an hour and a half and it was all gone.
The too fast animation happened when I was trying to activate that third special rock. Basically the fox looked like it was on LSD and instead of walking at normal pace and running at normal pace everything looked about 3 times too fast. But the actual movement was still at the normal pace. Like imagine a short guy covering the same distance a tall guy does. He has to move his legs faster. It was like that. And I was unable to jump. It was like the game was broken on that playthrough and a restart of the level put it back to normal. It left a really sour taste in my mouth and I have no idea how close I was to the end of the level.
I am happy to buy the game again in the future, but I'll wait till the slight teething issues have been fixed first.
okay this game is so astonishing beautiful, it just blows my mind!
and now this:
I played level three beyond the wolf and down the steep, and then I closed the game to shut down my computer for night.
when I restarted today, it just put me back to the total beginning of level 3... is that intended?
it's really disappointing!
there was a clear plot step, may it be the opening of the thornes, the disappearing of the wolf, or at least the running/jumping down the steep wich is definitely a point of no return.
why not autosave game at that point?
yeah I'm really frustrated now and maybe I will put aside this game for a couple of days.
well okay, I can just play it again, it's not that much.
it just was disappointing because I roamed the whole map of the first valley twice because I didn't get at first what to do on the stone, so I visited all three but did not catch the glimps in the stone...
if I do it again the organized way it should be faster.
but perhaps think about adding a save point at such meaningful turnpoints of a level.
Must admit I have to agree. I am wary of rebuying this game even with the existing issues fixed because I know I'll be a tad concerned something else will wreck circa 2 hours of progress.
More save points needed - I know it's Unity but so was Firewatch and many other games which let you save where you want to.
okay, since it was only 3-4 minutes left after the wolf if running straight ahead, another savepoint at that position is not that meaningful. the rest of the chapter looked so much longer to expect looking from the cliff...
I can understand why you chose not to add more savepoints.
the chapter has a story flow in itself. saving and continuing within may disrupt the storyline.
on the other hand, the binding from ch3 to ch4 is quite strong, too.
however, it seems that it's rather a question of style than of functionality.
Thank you for this update. I've been waiting to see if this bug ever got fixed and sadly the last changelog for the most recent update didn't mention it. So, unless it does get fixed I can't go near the game! And I want to!
