This year you will have unlimited seasons like last year with the added draft players/ cut players at the end of the season. Player progressions have been added this year as well. The biggest new feature however is custom draft classes. You can make your own draft classes up to 50 years worth in this years game. 16 game seasons have also been added.
A very large portion of next years dev cycle will be focused on franchise mode.
Not really disturbing if you remember how small the team is and how very very little the budget is.
That's no excuse for $20, make it $5 until the game is 90% complete. It's like 35%
I mean I played worse from indies with way more budgeting and resources. What you should do is tell every crap game dev with millions to spend and resources to make their crap game $5 that are 2% 50% or even 100% complete . They are the ones with no excuse. Axis is nothing like those devs.
Then make a football game so everyone can be happy. I expect your game to be better than madden and the best ai on earth. Do it all by yourself. You have 3yrs. Make it happen staring now! No excuse kickstarter and all. You can do it!
Thats the thing with software devlopement ... It's never 100% complete. So the idea that Axis 2017 was release prematurely is purley subjective. The devs have been very up front and open about what this version would and would not have.
So it is being brought to market the right way. If you waited until every issue was fixed or added no game would ever go to market.
