Episode 2 - crashes

Everytime i get out of the principals office and joyce introduces herself it crashes
ive lowered my frame rate to 30, the quality to low. and even the sound to cd even.

ram:16gb
i7-4770
64 bit operating system
windows 10

it was crashing on episode 1 also but i managed to fix it by lowering quality and sound, now its not working at all.

Same problem. WTF, developers? A lot of people with AMD videocard can't play your game because it crashes, and you don't fix this?

nearly the same: after entering the toilet in ep 2 the game freezes at the same spot. lowering settings and limiting fps did not work. AMD video card as well.

So far it has crashed once per episode for me. I've only played through each once, apart from the scenes I had to repeat after the crash (blank screen after leaving a scene when the next scene was supposed to start). Thankfully force-closing the game, then relaunching and selecting "continue" allowed me to pick up back at the start of the scene it crashed on. Still, you'd think there wouldn't be so many of these issues since the game engine appears to be near-identical to the first LiS and the problems should have been ironed out with that game.

The game engine in Before the Storm is completely different from the first LiS. Before the Storm uses the Unity engine whereas the first LiS uses the Unreal engine.

Sorry to revive a 6 month old thread but did anyone figure out a fix for this? Game crashes after the first cutscene in episode 2. I've gone through the interactions in the principals office a dozen times now and its driving me crazy that i cant continue ¬¬

I had the same problem twice on the scene after Chloe lives the bathroom but I managed to continue the game after those crashes, now it keeps crashing on the scene where she's sit inside the car on the junkyard, when it starts saving crashes!! What the heck??? @Inexorabilis why don't you reply to this thread?? it keeps crashing on the same place, I can't resume my game because of it - it gives me an error of C++. We buy the game and then you guys don't fix the crashes and the fix problems you have are not complete since tehre are far more crashes than the ones you gave a solution for.

i managed to fix it using my old navidia graohics card instead of AMD. but it has a weird purple tinge to it. they really need to fix it cause not everyone has another card to fallback on
