Sound Issues (Cutting Off Conversations)

Hey guys, I have a VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION. During the game, the dialogue seems to cutoff at the end of the sentence or speech moment. I've tried headphones, restarting my laptop, is this a glitch of sorts? If I remember correctly, this also occured in my gameplay of episode 1 in Before The Storm...please help

I dont think you can really do something about it, its same to me. Its just broken in the game nothing more ... kinda pisses me off, such little detail totaly killing the game

I also have this problem its almost like the sound files are starting a second later that intended and getting cut off. Maybe its a loading problem?

I don't know, it just really takes out of the immersion and environment :(

After 2nd playthrough I can tell the problem occured with other character responds then wduring the 1st one. Seems like it's just a bug in game itself, not the something wrong with sound banks.

exactly, and its very annoying, there is at least 2 more threads about this issue, hope this gets fixed. I wonder if this can be reported somewhere else so it gets solved

same here. doing EP1 for the 2nd time, no problems in first run, at least not that I remember

I backed up my save files to my desktop, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, then pasted the save files back, and it seems to have fixed the problem so far.

Yes, I was able to play the rest of the game without any sound issues.

I figure out how to fix the sound. You have to do the next steps:

1) Right-click the speaker icon in your task bar and select Playback Devices
2) Select your default sound device and open Properties
3) Select Advanced
4) Change the Default Format to 24 bit, 44100 Hz (Studio Quality) and click Apply

This fixed the problem for me, hope it helps.

I have already default format: 24bit 44100 Hz.

Does sound work in other games? Test it out now. It could be something silly, like your sound is muted or something. If sound works in other games and not this game then I'm not sure. Make sure you try the obvious stuff, like rebooting.
