Voice actors :/

Just started playing (because of controller issues) and tbh I'm kind of disappointed with the voice actors. Apparently none of the 2015 LiS voice actors are present in this game, everybody has been changed. I know the characters are supposed to sound younger but I'd have loved to hear familiar voices again :/
And so far I dont really love any of the new voice actors, they're doing their job but the ones from the 2015 game were so much better in my opinion.

After getting used to, actually I liked the new voice actors. The hardest to get used to was Rachel imho, since she talks a bit nosy an varies in talking speed a lot, giving little comments here end there, that a spoken quickly, as if a sencense was a word (like "I like games, [quickly]deal with it.")
I was not too much a fan of William or Samantha, but even Samantha, who did the worst job of this game, still was way better than first games Alyssa Anderson (who gave the worst performance of voice acting I've heard this century).

@Eduardo Cortes mmh, yeah. I knew that Chloe's voice actress wasnt allowed to because of some kind of strike, but I didnt know that this affected every voice actor from the 2015 game

I swear there were some moments when Rachel's voice actor didn't even say the whole line. She would skip words a lot. I've only just finished playing the first episode, so I still have two more to go, but it still doesn't look great in a game that was very highly anticipated for quite a while...

i didnt even notice the different voices when i first played..

one issues ive been having is that the audio sometimes cuts out at the end but thats my only issue with it so far.

I thought that was just me. It felt like certain moments where the full line wasn't said. They started the sentence then trailed off at the end. I heard they even considered not making this game because of Ash didn't want to voice it. I'm happy with the game with even the voice actors. If the strike keeps going. We would had wait till after it finished for returning talent and honestly I rather have the game instead.

Just wait till you get to the end of episode 1. You get used to the different voices and the quality of the voice acting is excellent.

Same. By the end of EP1. You become familar with them. At the very start its unfamilar. That quickly melts away as the game goes on.

Not sure why a lot of ppl are giving the voice actress of Alyssa a lot of ♥♥♥♥ as she is the same person who voiced Kate and Juliet. Sure, Alyssa sounds stuffy, but maybe the voice actress had to phone it in for Alyssa since she used her voices for the other two characters.

I think, for the most part, everyone did a good job. Rachel's voice is okay, Chloe's is good etc. But there are a couple that just felt way off. William and David sounded very different to me.

But, voices are a small portion of the whole package and I doubt by episode 3 people will worry about how someone sounds.

I actually much prefer the new voice actors. Until I played before the storm I never actually realised how weird the voice acting in the first life is strange was, especially for characters like Justin and Alyssa.
