Nathan's performance (Spoilers for ep. 2)
So, I'm replaying ep. 2 and I've reached The Tempest again. In my original playthrough, Nathan essentially 'choked' on stage. He barely came out on stage, was booed, and scurried off before his lines were done. This time around, however, he was perfect in his role.

I'm just curious to hear if anyone's figured out what makes the difference here.

The only thing I did different was talk to Samantha (the first time I forgot). This second time around, I told her to help Nathan out. But does she really have time before the play? Is this the deciding factor?

As far as I can tell after 4 playthroughs, talking to Samantha is the deciding factor.

After my replays I can confirm that asking Samantha to "help/talk to Nathan" is the last key factor. Although in all my replays I did stick up for Nathan during Drew's bullying in Episode 1 each time.

Both times I spoke to Nathan's father, and called him out, BUT I could still get different outcomes by talking to Sam after that...

I chose "help/talk to Nathan" and he did fine in the play.
When I chose "Give him some space" he bombed and ran off stage

You have to say something to his father when he is bulling nathan. Thats it.

Also maybe consider supporting Nathan Prescott when he is being bullying by Drew North in the first episode. And like said before support him when talking to his farther and get Samantha to help him.

Kinda strange and odd when consider:
When its Nathan Prescott there is in the ending killing Chloe Price

I told her to give Nathan space because we all know how Nathan can be and I think I stick by that decision and at the end of the episode, we can see him becoming comfortable and walking over to her but I haven't done the alternate choices for this yet. Now that I think about it, I thought maybe he'd do better during his short play sequence if I had chosen a different answer (I felt really bad for him like always). I did also have Chloe stay silent because how are we going to say anything after a conversation like THAT y'know?

I did defend Nathan last episode too but the principle just ended up saying that Chloe was the one who bullied Nathan which was kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

And i knew in original lis that both of them are very similiar but... Chloe doesnt need space, she need someone to be with her and help her, cool her of and all. Same is with Nathan... Chloe will say the same. Thing is just to help him.

What's bothering me is: Nathan just freezed, said "♥♥♥♥ that" and then run away.
But.
He's on stage at the end of the play to get the final ovation from the audience?
Wat?

Well, he is a Prescott, what did you expect?

My problem is not with the audience reaction, rather with Nathan's behaviour. So he was doubtful about his presence on the play, but went out on stage anyway because his father forced him to, then freezed and didn't actually participate in the play, but stayed backstage the whole time in order to get the final ovation? Okay.

Wrong. I have done both playthroughs in which I spoke to Sean and ones where I haven't. I didn't even know until now that Nathan's performance can differ, as he was always booed off the stage in my playthroughs.

But why would you tell Sam to help him? Doesn't he break her ribs, sending her to the hospital?

He only does that if you didn't help him in ep.1. If you did, it's presented as an accident when they went on bike ride or smth and he visits her in the hospital.
