*** SPOILERS **** Timeline in Before the Storm

Ok i feel i have to comment on this - just my opinions on the timeline we are seeing and playing :)

I don't understand how the last chapter is going to work in relation to the first season because the timeline is really early on in the relationship between Rachel and Chloe.

What i'm getting at is the fact that all this season so far has been centered around 2 or 3 days at the start of the relationship between them both and I feel its a bit annoying in a way.

I love the season and the narrative that deck 9 have come up with for how the relationship came to be, but there is so much that needs to happen in the final episode which from the looks of it will not be seen.

There is a whole year between the current timeline and when Max arrives at Blackwell and so much history to cover between Rachel and Chloe which from how it's going we wont get to see at all.

There is the whole storyline with Frank and Rachel having a relationship, pompedu is a puppy, yet a year later is a full grown dog, there is all the time they will spend at the junk yard making the tin house their sort of home away from home.

There is the start of the photography course where Jefferson comes along and takes Nathan under his wing and eventually kill Rachel and the effect it has on Chloe. There are lots and lots of things that I would have liked to have seen happen over the course of this prequel which from how the timeline is going, we will never see and will just have season 1 as a reference to it, which i feel is a massive shame.

I understand that we cant play the whole story over a year in time tocover all the points and it was important to show how the relationship started between the two of them, but i just wish it had gone into so much more detail over what happened the year previous to Max returning to Arcadia Bay.

What are your thoughts on the timeline and the parts we are playing, are you happy with what we get to see and play though or would you have liked to have seen more and everything in the run up to the first season?

On a side note, when reading through the journal and all the letters to Max from Chloe, it makes me kinda disklike Max for how she treated her after moving away which will effect my thoughts on her the next time i decide to play the first season again.

It isn't meant to be a bridging story. They wanted it to be independent enough that you could play the two games in whichever order you wished.

"Life Is Strange: Before The Storm" begins May 6th, 2010 which is over three years before the events of "Life Is Strange." (October 7th, 2013)

The gap gives them a bit more freedom to do what they want in terms of story as there is enough time for characters to grow and change between the two games.

It is also a way for them to leave a gap in case they want to do another prequel in the future. Maybe one day there will be a decision to fill in a bit more; Even if "Farewell" leads me to believe they won't, things can always change!

I get that and I know what they are doing, i'm just a little disapointed with the time frame they chose to use for it. I would have liked to have seen some of the things mentioned in the first season.

Like I said, i love the narrative they have gone with and I think its a great prequel for the series, just wish there had been some sort of bridge to link the two, even if just a small thing. I guess it's just me hoping for more than what we are getting.

It would be amazing if they did another season before the first season though to link them both

LiS Before the Storm 2 otw, i hope bcs we need it, this episodes are longer in terms of exploration but so slow progressing and missing a lot of references. There is place for so much but i like to believe that this 3 episodes are just "testing the waters" from deck9. Since the voice actors strike is over, if another episodes will be added, hope to get the original voices back.
