The beer bottle icon?

I've just started BtS.
I got into the old mill and drank a bottle of a beer, then the beer icon appeared to the upper right.
What is the point of displaying a beer bottle icon? Does it only mean Chloe is drunk?

I wondered that myself, but honestly i got no idea. There doesnt seem to be other beers lying around to drink from, so idk. And I don't feel like it got any influence on the events, sooo....

Thanks. Now, that makes sense. I did re-play it and didn't grab the beer to see if she would still attack him without the bottle and wow, she knee kicked in his balls.

Who knows, maybe the devs had the plan to have some kind of drunkness mechanics in the game and that's the remains of it. But it is not likely.
