To everyone asking about why Max left on the day Chloe's dad died...
She didn't. Y'all realise that funerals take time to plan and set up, right? This is days after his death. I'll admit it's a bit quick (writers dun goofed slightly, perhaps), but it's stated quite clearly that Max's family are moving in 3 days.

Is it rough leaving the funeral like that? Yes, but that's life. It's rough, it's hardly ever convenient, and above all, it's strange.

Never heard of anyone who thinks that ;)

It's actually the first time I hear about people thinking they're both the same day :/

Same here. In the wiki for LIS they say "soon after" William's death but weren't specific.

I don't think anyone thought the funeral was the same day as his death...

I was browsing the forums last night and saw several threads along just those lines.

It has been mentioned before, how people misunderstood the timeline of the bonus episode. I wish they could have done what they did in the movie The Ring (American version), where each new act started with the day of the week mentioned prominently. That might have taken away some of the confusion about what was a very short coda to the main game.

Unlike The Ring, though, there wouldn't have been some creepy girl with long hair climbing over the coffin at the end, a la out of the well in the movie. Although that could have given the game a much-needed zing. :D

Or like the X-Files (and many, many other shows) where they put the date, time, and location onscreen as a page header, for lack of a better term. Since we *KNOW* these are specific dates, it's not like it would break immersion ten years down the line to suddenly be not "now".

Not sure how spoiler free this should be so I've used tags just in case. It contains spoilers for Farewell and the first Life is Strange game.

I've seen a few suggestions that the Caulfield's may have even delayed their departure so they could attend the funeral and more importantly let Max attend - this would seem logical as Chloe mentions their parents do talk to each other - if you choose to tell Chloe you're leaving when they're downstairs in the living room

Max & Chloe have been best friends for a long time so I'm sure Ryan and Vanessa know William & Joyce, probably quite well, and would want to attend the funeral themselves

It was just awful circumstance, Max leaving at that time.

I've been both unhappy and understanding regarding Ryan and Vanessa. Same with Max's radio silence for so many years , flipping between understanding and "why Max, WHY?"

Oooh, I like that better. Maybe not with the same font, but yeah. Just not the Law & Order BUNK-BUNK sound effect along with it. I stopped watching the show because of that.
