Yeah, but hopefully not as expensive...
This is just a flat out lie.
The price for the Limited Edition of LiS S1 did cost 34.99 €, almost the same as the Limited Edition for BtS which costs 39.99 €.
Both physical editions came out after the last episode was finished, so you had to buy it again in both cases, if you bought the digital version of the game on steam beforehand.
Besides, you could not even buy the Vinyl Edition of LiS S1 regularly, it was only available as part of a bonus reward program through member-points in the US shop of Square Enix only, just like Chloe's necklace and other items.
The fact that the Vinyl Edition of BtS was not locked away this way was actually an improvement.
Fair point, you could expect the soundtrack and the artbook in form of a digital release.
The question is though, would you be willing to pay extra for it or do you expect to get it on top for only 25-26 € ?
85,48 EUR Shipping and taxes included, in Europe (Vinyl Edition)
May be expensive but think that you will get vinyl and cd OST, art book, collector box, the complete BTS season, and the figurines...
Not sure, maybe more appropriate for you
Do you know if the BTS Vinyl edition is a box with four LP's?. I think that the LIS Vinyl has two LP's and you're right, it was available only with reward points in Square Enix US, and currently is out of stock and very complicated (let's say expensive like hell) to find one in good condition :)
[UPDATE]
Sorry, just received the vinyl edidtion and they are 7" 45 RPM :)
Yes, as far as I know, the BtS Vinyl Edition has four LP's.
I thought the same, but not... it has four 7" 45 RPM vinyl records
I'd end up paying extra just to have a full collection even though I think artbook and OST should've been included in Deluxe in the first place.
