How does Rhianna DeVries compare to Ashly Burch?

I was super close to finally picking this game up, then I found out that Ashly did not voice Chloe in this game... Chloe was my favorite character in the original and that was 100% due to Ashly. So I'm super bummed and am not much inclined to pick up the game anymore, unless you guys tell me that the replacement voice actress was any good.. Was she?

It was very good, Rhianna sounds a bit softer, but it actually makes sense since Chloe is younger in this one! But other than that voices are very similiar!

Agree with the above. If it helps, Ashley was still involved in wriritng the script and basically coaching Rhi on how to capture Chloe's character, and she feels she done a good job, so if Ashley's happy with the results, her fans should be too.

Chloe is my favorite character too, and I loved the way she was voiced in BtS. Of course it is different, teenagers are supposed to sound awkward and clumsy, and it was perfect. And if devs ask me, "All right, Pricefield fanboy, we gonna make ya a Pricefield sequel, which actress to choose?" - I will be happy in both cases.

Yes while I think Ashly could have done as good a job as Rhianna I still think Chloe in BtS was superbly done. Maybe Ashly would have done a better job, hard to say and we will never know but Rhianna certainly didn't screw anything up that is for sure.

To be honest. Rhianna only could sound like original Chloe a few times (example, when she is at the kitchen with her mom next morning after the Firewalk show). But to me she isnt anything alike Ashly. Beyond she has a different voice, she is not a real good actor. This was her first voice acting experience for games as far as I know and it was pretty obvious. Personally I really dont like this Chloe, and neither her movements. I see a totally different person. They could've waited more to have Ashly back. This is sadly another thing that fills the description of a pretty bad game.

Sometimes I barely noticed the difference, other times...
Ashly's definitely the better actor, but Rhianna isn't awful or anything. I think she got handed far less cringey lines than Chloe got, so in some ways hearing her talk is better than hearing Ashly talk, just because she got a better script.

I think the real dillemma about buying this game is that it's supporting scab labor. The acting is all fine.

Yeah well except for who ever did Samuel in BtS, he was terrible to say the least...

well it rly bums me out but on the other hand she is younger in the game so its kinda normal that her voice change a bit but it rly sound vry similar and ashly did wrote and "coach" her soo yeah it bums me out that its not ashly but i can still feel her presence in the game
