R: Isn't acting in my service filled with excitement, amusement and delight?
C: I fear that excitement...will grow old and you will leave me in search of new...fun
R: I have thee in my grasp. I will not bend!
So, basically, Rachel got unsatisfied with Chloe at some point and started searching for new "fun" behind her back. Her being kidnapped and killed is explained by Jerkerson in LiS ep5.
And yeah, this "poof" one was Jerkerson. He was also the one mentioned in Rachel's letter to Chloe in junkyard.
We hooked up near campus - Rachel Amber
Game repeats things in cycles and Victoria followed up Rachel Amber with Mark Jefferson at the Campus. What I believe this is an exemplary description of Nathan Prescott the only issue is that Rachel already is a friend with him and knows about him in BTS which makes it not canon for the game. Frank doesn't know where Rachel is and he is heartbreaking when you tell him that it was him who sold the drugs who killed her. The only conclusion is that Mark Jefferson is canon for BTS even if it sounds like this mysterious guy is a vortex member. I don't expect Johnny English driving into the town and kidnap Rachel Amber while fighting the Vortex organization that's too much Rowan Atkinson over it.
Yea i was thinking the exact line C: I fear that excitement...will grow old and you will leave me in search of new...fun that this is the main point why Rachel would "leave" her or don't care so much about her anymore.
And i guess this new fun was Frank. I know how she died but i'm not sure when it all startet timewise. Or i just can't remember the details how it happened with Jefferson i guess i have to replay it.
Yea the first thought was Nathan aswell, Nathan basically is her killer anyway not Jefferson But as you said they knew each other before, "they used to hang out sometimes" but he also wasn't part of the vortex club in BTS right?
And besides that Nathan isn't wise or anything above, he was kinda just a loser at this time.
As said above maybe the new "Fun" after chloe was frank, the pictures and letters he had with Rachel, but there was also a letter where Frank was apologizing for his behaviour if i remember correct, maybe at that point Rachel startet all over again, searching for new fun and came in contact with Jefferson and so on?
Im not sure - based on that - that Frank and Rachel had an actual relationship at all.
From the end scenes in BtS, it seems that Rahel and Chloe were close til her death in the bunker.
I already guessed since to me,it adds up.
I'm pretty sure that letter was from Rachel to Frank, because of the line "I was being a monstrous ♥♥♥♥♥ and took it out on you and poor Pompidou" then something about feeling like she'll never get out of Arcadia and being glad she has him, then her intials. Unless there was another letter he wrote somewhere.
The dude was crazy and probably high on something so I don't think he is a very trust worthy source for what was happening. Probably add in some jealousy as well. If Frank and Rachel were hiding their relationship from Chloe I have to think they were hiding it from everyone including Nathan or else that info would have found its way back to Chloe, small town and all.
That letter in the junkyard said she didnt want to say anything only bc Chloe would give her the stink eye and grill her for details - that doesnt sound like she'd hide it if thats all that was going to happen....
And yea nathan was crazy, but that doesnt mena he isnt honest. Since Rachel and him know each other from the Vortex club im sure he's tried and failed to get in there - and is making fun of Frank for thinking he had a chance is how i read it....
"Before Rachel left, she said she met somebody who changed her life... Then poof." When Chloe said this, she still wasn't thinking it as Rachel had found love interest or else. She was apperantly thinking Rachel found some 'opportunity to leave the town/and move into L.A for modelling' since Chloe was still eager to find her and believing that she wouldn't leave the town before her, and there's gotta be something bad happened to her. Hence why she was looking out for her over 6 months.
Rachel kept her so-called relationship with Frank hidden from Chloe, because she knew how Chloe would react (since Rachel knew her feelings towards her). Back then Chloe was thinking that Rachel was only teasing with him, didn't know what was going on in background. There are also times where Frank admitted that he got jealous of Chloe and Rachel's relationship for instance. We also know that she was being with Frank when she was 18 (which can be found in David's files) and she had a police record because of drugs etc.
Now... her relationship with Frank didn't last too long as far as we know and she ditched him easily. Nathan, for instance was saying that Rachel knew Frank was a liar, and she was using him for his 'stash'. Then there is a moment, where you can ask Jefferson about if he knows about Rachel and Frank's relationship, and he replies this as ''It started before it even finished'' actually this was true because their relationship really took short and she moved onto Jefferson immediately.
While she was with Jefferson, she considered to confess this to Chloe, that she was in love with someonelse=Jefferson. However, she didn't have guts to say Chloe because she knew that'd hurt Chloe, so even if she wrote that letter and couldn't give it to Chloe. When you read that letter, Max says ''I shouldn't show this to Chloe, or she may really got hurt'' ... so to the game, Chloe also didn't see that letter. Which's reasonable, because if she did, she'd already gotten hurt and wouldn't get overwhemingly shocked/ hurt when she saw her love letters with Frank.
Kidnapping Rachel was both Jefferson and Nathan's job and to Jefferson, Nathan was so easy to manipulate. When Rachel attended to the Vortex Club party, Nathan spiked her drink and brought her to the dark room. Nathan also bought date-rape drugs from Frank prior to that (since Jefferson/Nathan was gonna use those in photo sessions) ... According to Jefferson, Nathan messed up the drug dosage while he was drugging Rachel, and this lead to Rachel's death. During later events, Nathan was also unconscious during these moment (as you can see from dark room pictures)
That all makes alot of sense. Thank you very much for summing it up that's awesome.
