Episode 3 felt short and abrupt

The ending came out of seemingly nowhere. Even the end screen reflects it: One choice. Coke or Pepsi. There was no satisfying feeling at the conclusion, there was really nothing to warrant it. Sorry for the die-hard fans who may disagree (I'm a die-hard fan too) but the episode was...rushed feeling.

I agree that it was rushed, but I don't think it was bad. When I figured out that it was ending as close to LiS as it does, I kinda saw that the ending was going to have be a bit vague anyway just to allow the story to become what it was in LiS and still allow "choices". As for the 2 choice ending, was anyone really surprised by that after the first game?

It certainly felt a little rushed.

I would have settled for a 10-20 minute segment with Chloe and Rachel just chilling in the Junkshack or having lunch at the diner with a bit of bonding conversation before the Frank/Damon meeting. Felt like they could have fleshed out the episode more.

DeckNine: Release the Original Episode 3 petition is out there - alot of stuff in the files thats not in the game for some reason. Yes things get changed before release but this seems like stuff developed, recorded audio and scenes that were taken out after they were made....

Yeah too much stuff was put into those video's at the end and too much of that was the exact same no matter which choice you picked at the end. Seems like they tacked on the video's at the end of Rachel and Chloe and then cut out all the other stuff mentioned on those websites in this thread.

It is breaking the cardinal rule of game development to take away gameplay from the player and replace it with cut scenes....

Don't get me wrong I still really like BtS because it allowed me to get to know who Rachel Amber was but it could have shown us so much more if they had left the stuff they cut in the game.

The only thing i can hope for is that somehow the scenes were cut bc of season 2 - i know its supposed to be a whole new cast - which means my hopes for a Rachel storyline are toast - but maybe they couldnt leave in those other scenes bc it would have spoiled season 2?

It was soooooo boring, short and lame. Totally disappointed. There were barely any choices to make. People spoke way to slow as well.

The way the music abruptly changes during the end cutscene really makes me think they were in a rush to finish it and ended up stitching together several unfinished cutscenes. It just doesn't make sense to have the music change to a different song every 10-20 seconds and it wasn't like they did it once or twice; it happened several times. Maybe they were under a deadline to get it out before Christmas? That would certainly explain all the supposedly "cut" content.

Hoping they do like a director's cut or extended edition episodes and add in what they took out. I personally had no problem with the endings as a whole though, as someone else mentioned the LiS endings were also vague and felt slightly unfinished as well, but I was also okay with them too.

Funny how the scene after the stats still made it in, and no one wanted that!

Something just can't end like LotR : Return of the King where the ending just keeps going!

Yeah I felt the same. It wasn't the fault of the 2 choice ending (I don't have a problem with that, I loved it in LiS 1) but more of lacking content. That ending montage was way too long, they could have wrapped everything up nicely, instead they ended it abruptly and said "Look! A teaser for the original LiS story! Isn't that a round ending?" Well, it wasn't. Still loved the overall game though, even though Episode 1 was the best (but honestly, being "worse than episode 1" is still a pretty high standard for the other episodes)

The cutscenes at the and made no difference if you choose the friendship or the romance path between Chloe and Rachel.
And than, the police was in front of the DA house, Chloe knew Damon broke Micheys arm, beated Drew, stabbed Rachel and wants to kill Sera. And she didn't ask the police for help, but went there alone?

The whole final part after Damon kicked Chloe in the head felt so strange I was sure it was a dream sequence... it felt like Sera was dead by OD because of Damon (the dose in the sringe looks pretty big for a person clean since a year) and talked to Chloe like her father do in those dreams... and sudently coming out of nowhere Hospital ! ... I stil though this was part of a dream/fantasy because of the light with the stars bubble on it (seems od that Rachel parents bring that here, but normal if in a Chloe fantasy because she "build" it for Rachel, all symbolic and sh|t)... I was expecting an abrupt come back to reality in the mill (with Sera dead on the chair and Frank in bad shape over Damon's dead body the knife in the neck) after talking with Rachel... but no, just the ending... I was in shock, wtf is that ending ?
