Can we play with an actual girl in the next game?
I'm tired of these unrelatable, socially awkward, ugly, flat-chested tomboys like Chloe and Max. They should've looked more like Rachel from the start. But even Rachel is flat. And what about Victoria? Why is she so skinny, flat, and short-haired? Wasn't she the queen bee in LiS 1? So she is supposed to be really hot and stuff... which is like the opposite of her current look... yeah...

Is this character design the result of sjw agendas or something? I surely hope not, because that kind of stuff has already ruined the main characters of 2 well-known games this year (Horizon Zero Dawn and Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice). The women you play as in those games are hideously ugly, and if you look at the real actresses whose faces they were based on, you'll see that they are much prettier irl than in-game, which means that their ugliness was intentional.

Now I'm not asking for the kind of bs present in Japanese games (14 year olds with huge boobs and half naked armors), but can't we have some balance in here? Why does everything have to be on the extreme ends of things?

TL;DR: Female characters should be more feminine.

Hmm, Im assuming the model used for the shower scene is 'incomplete' from the shoulders down?

Seen a video of it, NOT SPECIFICALLY for that ofc I was browsing LiS vids.
You dont see anything, only weird unnatural shapes at chest area lol.

Yeah, well, this was Dotnod, not David Cage pulling a David Cage on Ellen Page, so nothing surprising there.

Don't even rip into the DA or ME series. If you cannot create a good looking character , then that's 100% on you and your lack of patience/skill with the character creator. And not to mention you are playing on PC and can mod the hell out of just about any game and make the character look like you want.

Yeah no. I looked at the top 100 mods for DA:I on the nexus. Haven't seen anything even remotely pretty. And there were tons of pretty face mods for DA:Origins long time ago when I last played.

I think he meant doing them yourself.

But by all means, try to have Max go as a coffee table.

The very fact you mention mods just shows how the character creator was limited, though. The fact you have to struggle and work with a lot of sliders to have something decent just shows the same. While Bethesda is even worse, Bioware's character creator and its options have always been crap.

I found Max relatable, not so much chloe but I don't think design choices really effect relatability that much. Relax. Plus I wouldn't mind a male for one of the games personally.

I don't think I have ever had issues with creating a good looking player character in bioware games. But I do agree the character creator has always been pretty limited.

Considering the complains are very common and widespread, it might be more a case of what you find "good looking" not matching what others do when being presented a character creator - hence the huge amount of textures and mods for all those games, all to make beautiful characters.

Their not common at all. Except for Andromeda, but that game was a mess all around. But I've rarely heard any complain about previous BioWare games' character creators. Nor have I ever had any problem with it myself! Heck, even with Andromeda's CC being a mess I still manage to create characters I like

Yes, they are - or were, for older games. Again, it's the very reason there are so many mods for their games. The fact Mass Effect: Andromeda is even worse than, say, Mass Effect, doesn't makes the older one not be a pain of the sort people would go post and search for "recipes" (slide values) to create attractive characters. You managing to create characters you like is subjective anecdotal evidence.

I honestly never saw anyone posting that kind of thing (recipes) till andromeda, but maybe andromeda brought a larger audience so it was more noticable idk.

They did. I know because when I played Mass Effect - still from a disk - the base templates were hideous, so I searched and found whole threads dedicated to screenshots showing the sliders to make a nice looking female Sheppard.
