How to get Sera to....(spoilers)
meet with rachel.

You HAVE to tell the Truth, you cannot the outcome other wise.

You have to score 5 or more points in the talk with Sera

Here is how to score them.....

Say "everyone is broken" instead of "you're strong" +1

Say "I lost my father" instead of "best friend" +1

Say "Rachel needs you" instead of "you quit for a year" +1, however the letters can come into play if you choose the other choice. I just do not know how, but it seems to set your score at 2 so avoid without bracelet.

Say "I thought my dad was perfect" instad of "they aren't perfect" +1

Say "Don't you want to see her" +1, do not say "I can't lie to her"

You should now have the 5 points required without the braclet you can get in Episode 2, but if you have it give it to her and thats +3.

Thats it.

Sounds like a Dark Souls scenario:

"You must have the Sword of Miffi-Lippin held aloft at the same time as the Shield of Molly-Coddle, standing before the Door of Inevitable Doom at the exact moment the Guardian of Guac turns the Key of Khe precisely 12.8 degrees widdershins, all while performing the Macarena backwards at half-speed on roller skates with a missing wheel. And you must be wearing a mankini in at least three colors and with a Girl Scout Cookie Selling Badge precisely next to your fourth left-side rib. Only then, will you be able to enter the...oh, zhit, the baby threw up on the last part of this! You've got to be kidding me!"

Ah, well, at there is a reason to play Before the Storm more carefully now. I kind of blew through it the first two times.

This is strange. Difference: I didn't cut Damon (because I cut him in other playtrough); he was not threat Chloe with needle; I choose "letters" because you say this is +2. This guy even didn't have this choice.
OK. I saw what happens in this video and i'm not impressed. Actually I love "hide truth" even if I hate to lie. Because it shows Chloe as part of Ambers family.
texasgoldrush, priapus, thank you both.

Letters is a bug, it sets the score at 2, not gives you +2.
There WAS a bug, but it's been fixed. I did it without the bracelet just last month.

Also, you can stab Damon all you like. It doesn't impact the conversation with Sera

I got the ending without the bracelet. You just need to choose correct ones. I think first 3 and the last one doesn't matter but you can choose them in case. These are the ones i chose:

1. You know my name.

2. Know about what?

3. I don't understand.

4. She deserves to meet you.

5. Everbody's broken.

6. I lost my father.

7. Rachel needs you.

8. I thought my dad was perfect.

9. Don't you want to see her?
(Letters might ass well work here, but i didn't tried)

10. Don't leave.

Here is some videos for it:

Meeting sera was an alternate ending, one that is non-canon and prevents rachel from going off the rails meaning she doesnt end up with frank and jefferson, quite a nice nod to what could have been. Canonically sera does leave and doesnt return and rachel lives on (either with the truth told to her or living the lie but she probably ends up finding out) which is why its SO hard to get this ending

No, neither ending is really "canon". Especially since whether or not she meets up with her mom is far from the only thing that doesn't clearly link up to what happens in LIS. Like whether or not Rachel and Chloe dated, the entire existence of Steph and Mikey, Rachel's dad being a DA, etc

There's three whole years for everyone to get in their starting positions, so I don't think any of the possible outcomes are incompatible with the what is established in the first game, even though in some cases it's not clear how they'd get there

I don't see any reason why meeting her mom would prevent her from becoming a delinquent and running away later on, especially since its her relationship with her dad that was her main motive there, and meeting Sera wouldn't fix that

Like, even if she and Sera keep in touch, I doubt Sera would stick around, or be enough of a stabilizing influence that Rachel wouldn't still end up dating Frank or Jefferson

Both Chloe and Rachel (March and July 1994) are both over a year older than Max and her LiS classmates (July - November 1995 except for Warren who is from Nov '96 but was that a typo in the end?). My assumption was that Mikey and Steph are in the same age group and so graduated the year prior to Max's enrolement and are off in college.I always thought Max and Chloe weren't part of the same year at school due to their age difference but Farewell retconned that as they seem to have been doing projects together at one point.

My primary school was a smaller Catholic one and there weren't enough teachers or students to require two classes per year group but too many for just one so they organised a conjuctive class with the top third of each year to pair up. So a combined Year 1 and 2 class, 3 and 4 and so forth.

My new headcanon is that a similar thing was implemented in Max and Choe's elementary (I think that's what it's called in the States?) school since Arcadia is a smaller town.

I don’t think that Rachel ever went off the deep end so much that she just enjoys chaos more than order. That’s why she is a good friend to Chloe and so she gets with Frank possibly because they have a lot in common. After all, Frank is mostly a weed dealer and Rachel could have only did weed with him. I doubt that she got with Jefferson as I don’t see her going for a guy like him. It’s a high possibility that she was drugged and then brought to him by Nathan.

I chose the “Hide the truth” during the “Little White Lies” option. What Sera said hit me hard when she said “You lost your dad, do you want her to lose hers ?” Mr. Amber definitely went off the deep end and what he did was bad, no one is saying that he was Father of the year. However Sera makes sense of it that he was desperate and afraid that he would lose his world, her, if she left him. He was scared that she would shoot up drugs with her mom and such and that’s why he sent a really bad guy to scare her, not kill her. If you read all of his sent texts one text says “Don’t hurt her”. So he didn’t even want her beaten up, just scared away. I realized that she would be happier with her family as imperfect as it was rather than to meet a stranger that wasn’t what she expected and lose her dad at the same time

That's correct. Smaller towns in the US like Arcadia Bay often have combined classes for the earlier grade levels.

I think your head canon is just ACTUAL canon. Farewell established Max and Chloe met at school and had classes together, but it didn't change anyone's age. It's explicitly acknowledged that Chloe is older in at least one of the letters you can find, and if I remember correctly, their grade levels are even listed on one of the homework assignments they did together.

Wait, getting that scene was something special? I didn't think much of it back then but after reading this I'm kinda proud for getting it right away. ^^;

I went along EXACTLY with the instructions in this thread and Sera still didn’t want to meet Rachel. Maybe it’s bugged or something but at least in my game, I couldn’t do it without giving her the bracelet.
