"Daughter" has floored me with their music for this game... (omg I hate even calling it a game, it's so much more). And their music should command a whole seperate thread entirely. BUT this song hit me deeply on a very personal level.

It's from Broods called "Taking You There". And I didn't realize it was them until I played the game twice. During the walk home after the Tempest. You know.. "That" moment. :)
I feel this is a VERY passionate fan base and just wanted to share. Please feel free to add your favorite musical moments and feelings...

My favorite song of this lifechanging experience is "A hole in the Earth" by Daughter.


It creates such a amazing feeling, when you sit down on top of the Boat and watch the fire...

Especially i love this line:

Yes Sorexis! That is my absolute favorite song by Daughter!

"A Hole in the Earth" although powerfully beautiful and sad, did have that glimmer of hope in it, at least for me with the lyrics:

"In my own time
I'm trying to reach out I know I'll get there soon"
"In my own time"

Chloe will get through it in her own time (with the help of Rachel and eventually Max), at least she does in my version of the ending in the original game :)

But she needs Rachel at this very moment in her life just as Rachel needs Chloe. That is what I feel this story is about. They are destined to be together for these few but extremely passionate and powerful years.

Just as in life, there are people that come into our lives for maybe just a day, a week, months, sometimes years, that fill a need that we crave at that time, and leave such a strong mark on our soul in the long run that helps define who we are.

P.S. It's in the Trailer for EP2 also. At the 52 second mark, "A Hole in the Earth" really kicks in the goosebumps! Friend make sense of me!

Usually i don't listen to this kind of music, but along with the cutscenes in the game it's just magic.
I could watch them over and over. My favourite is still "sense of me" of LiS

Gave me shivers. Absolutly stunning. I feel like playing this game opened up so many more emotions I didnt know chloe had for Rachel Amber. We can see how important she was to Chloe, she was there for her when everyone else abandoned her. In the first game I just thought: "wow, this girl was Chloe's really good friend" but she was so much more than that. And seeing their relationship grow so much in these episodes is so sad, because even though their relationship is so wonderful, we all know how it ends. And this song reminded me of what happens, it was a very bitterly sweet scene.

There is a lot of hope for that because Syd Matters is a French band and so is Dontnod Entertainment based in Paris, France... In the original game Jonathan Morali, the leader of Syd Matters, was actually hired as part of the development team. He did all of the guitar menu music and any other random music for that game. Plus Syd Matters had two of their tacks in the game, Obstacles and To all of You.

Also some of you might not know this but Hannah Telle is a musician and she did a cover of Obstacles when the game was still in production, please enjoy :)

Bitter sweet is really a good choice of words. It kind of fits the whole Life is strange universe really

I don’t really tend to like 'indie' music (no idea if I’m describing the genre right), but "All I wanted" I absolutely adore. I can listen to it nonstop and not get bored of it, my only gripe is that I wish it had been used in an actual scene rather than an optional one.....The chorus really brings the song together nicely and expresses so many emotions. At any rate I now have like....half of Daughter's songs in my libary.
